18/9/25 I came in the morning around 8am wanting to get something and regain energy after just getting a blood test done. I was greeted by their staff as I came in, I checked their drink menu and saw they had matcha. I asked politely if they used flavoured matcha powder or was it authentic matcha. The staff replied asking me what matcha I use in a passive aggressive tone which I brushed off and I told them well Thea Matcha is a brand most people use and he replied “Well then you can just use your Thea matcha and mix instead of paying me money to make one”in a haughty tone unbecoming of a worker talking to a customer. I was taken aback because I simply asked a question. I wasn’t asking for much. Any customer would naturally want to know about whether or not what they’re buying is worth the money. And I told them “I was just asking what matcha you guys use, I wasn’t trying to say anything” to which they replied “Yes that’s what I’m trying to tell you”. They didn’t even offer any alternative item off their menu that I could order instead. He just stared at me like he wanted me out of the cafe. I have never been treated like this anywhere and as a cafe worker myself I was in utter disbelief that they could treat customers like this. Judging from the other negative reviews it seems like the staff/owner there instead of simply apologising for their lack of accountability and appalling customer service will instead degrade customers for feeling that way. As a business you have to reflect and find ways to improve and every review offers you that. You are in the food service industry and customers are your lifeline. Treating them like peasants unworthy of your respect is truly repugnant.
Update: As you can see the owner’s response is just as expected. Taking personal offense for an honest review. No apology found anywhere. No professionalism, respect nor integrity found here. I was treated with disrespect and yet the business thinks it’s my fault for even giving them a try. In this economy? Better go to Tob next door where the owner isn’t a bitter aging man who takes out business grievances on unsuspecting customers with innocent intentions because their attitude is scaring customers away. And no, I’ve had this account ages ago, this is just the 1st time I’ve left a 1 star review because all places except this one has the integrity to resolve issues...

Made my first visit to this store and will definitely be my last. Before we walked in we had purchased coffee from another cafe, not even 10 seconds of stepping foot into the store one of the waitress had told us we’re not allowed to have drinks and food from outside, we responded that we wanted takeaway and did not intend to eat in. Totally understandable that it’s business etiquette and protocol to only allow customers to have food from the premises, which we were under the impression that it would be fine to come in with drinks if buying takeaway but nope - we were in for a shocker. A moment later all you hear is a man from behind the counter yelling across the store - and I mean YELLING - “get out! Get out of my store now!” We said we just want to buy food and get takeaway and we’re not eating in then he proceeds with “no I don’t care! Get out now!” I just couldn’t believe his reaction and how insanely rude he was being it was seriously the most disgusting behaviour especially from a cafe staff or seems to be the store owner. I was just so mind blown like did that really just happen?! If he actually is the store owner this man should not be allowed to a run a business.
Respect that policy is policy however there was no need for him to be rude and he should’ve been professional with his approach. The yelling was unnecessary and uncalled for. Regardless you should never treat customers this way, period.
It seems he has something against the popular and successful coffee shop next door as there’s always queues of customers, their customer service is unparalleled and it’s evident that him and his store will never match and deliver on par.
If you’re reading this now and thinking of visiting then don’t bother - save your time and money and put your hard earned money towards a deserving business that caters to not only serve delicious food but also treat customers with respect. This is paramount for any store in food and hospitality. Many many other places of better quality and service.

Read morePossibly the rudest customer service from the coffee guy (think the owner). Food was ok last time hence the one star but I get why there would be hair in food/drinks as with previous reviews as he did rub his hands through his hair a lot during coffee making. It felt gross 🤢 and you wonder about the hygiene of this place given the owner does this too. Just wanted to try out coffee this time and to get some allergen information on what’s in their “free ube cookie” that you get with an Ube latte. This was advertised outside. Walked in excited to try something new instead got a bad new experience. He did not want to answer any questions not even a greet, got my milk wrong (I don’t drink cows milk), didn’t admit to it when I asked him to change it (there were no other orders waiting) and gave me a sesame cracker from the staff room without a word. If you don’t have any cookies left then just let the customer know or at least what’s in it. Just be aware if you have allergies. When I asked another lady at the counter, he almost appeared physically abusive and the lady had to stop him. Not sure if he’s having a bad day or not but I’m pretty sure I didn’t do or say anything to deserve such service or rudeness. No passion for food, people or the business at all. Definitely don’t apply the Fair Trade Act too. Not sure why they would want to sell/give away or advertise something they don’t really have. I was happy to even pay for it and try other products they had so I can order a big lot for catering and company events.
