Really flippin Good... The short version of this review: You should definitely book an appointment. Really! Long long probably boring version as follows: These people are authentic, honest, and have won my trust. I haven't had my hair cut or coloured by a professional in years. It's really hard to find great hairdressers. I have been cutting and box dying my own hair (50 kinds of super dark to hide the greys) because I'm busy but also, I'd rather stuff if up myself than pay for someone else to do it for me. When I called to make an appointment I was surprised at how soon they could see me. I hoped this wasn't a bad sign, but I google the heck out of people before I go, so trusted my research. I also planned on seeing one of the master stylists but took an appointment with Becky, who is a senior stylist. I also hoped that wouldn't be a mistake... I really haven't been good to my hair and I had unrealistic expectations of what could be achieved in one sitting. I thought that after years of advances in technology they might have some kind of magic going on in salons these days. They kind of do in this salon but not the magic I expected! Becky spent a lot of time explaining to me, that in order to get the end result I wanted and still have healthy hair, that I needed to have it done slowly. Its a process. I know for sure now that these are not the type of people who do what ever you ask for even if its bad for your hair and won't work. I think they would have shown me the door (politely) if i'd pushed to get what I thought I wanted. Money is not the motivation here and they are firm in what they know is achievable. I really appreciate that. Becky is extremely experienced, confident and skilled but still sought advice/opinions from her colleagues throughout the entire process. They are a really awesome team who work together and share their knowledge to achieve the best result for the client. Of course my hair took them waaaay longer than they had allowed time for. But not once did I feel like they were rushing or stressed or annoyed at the complexity. Becky took the time to ensure that she did the best job that she could for me. The result was magical. It wasn't what I wanted when I walked in the door, It was actually better. I left with hair that is still healthy, they educated me and the prices are ridiculously reasonable. Its a super positive environment, professional, clean the only place I'll go now. I won't be doing my own hair ever again....

What an absolute dream! Glamour was recommended to me so many times that I had to see what the fuss was all about.

The salon is stylish, clean, and inviting. Everyone is friendly and immediately acknowledges you. Chairs are comfy and there are tonnes of UP TO DATE magazines to read. I was also offered tea, coffee, and water - coffee was great (Nespresso I think?)

Kylie the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and very talented. I talked through my hair history and she immediately knew what needed to happen. She identified some damage and breakage, and found a solution around it. But the main thing was, she stuck with me the whole time! None of this "paying for a stylist and getting the apprentice" situation. She was there doing the foils, doing the treatment, coming over to check in on me all the time, she was attentive to all her clients, even when she had a couple on the go at once.

I had a full head of foils, a treatment, and a blow wave - $315.00. (My last salon would've charged nearer to $400 and the results were nothing to write home about)

Im so happy Ive found Glamour! Have already booked my next appointment :)

I just wanted to take a moment to say how grateful I am to Kylie, Emily and the team at Glamour Hair Boutique. My experience started with a small misunderstanding during my first visit, but Kylie reached out with such kindness and professionalism that I decided to come back, and I’m so glad I did! This time, I was looked after with incredible attention to detail, and the result absolutely exceeded my expectations. I truly felt listened to and cared for, and I left the salon with the best hair I’ve had in a very long time: natural, soft, and exactly what I had hoped for. I even offered to pay again for the time of the stylist out of fairness, but they wouldn't hear of it. That kind of integrity and client care is rare and deeply appreciated. I’ve never felt more confident after a salon visit, and I’m thrilled to say I’ve finally found my go-to stylist on the North Shore.
