We ordered a customized cake for a birthday. It was a simple request: red velvet cake with traditional thick cream cheese frosting and less sweet. The bakery confirmed that they could make it, charging $105 When we picked up the cake it was tall but the box was short so the lid had to remain open. The frosting turned out to be thick sweet buttercream frosting, in photo thin yellowish cream cheese can be seen between layers of cake with almost none for frosting. Only one of us ate the cake and he threw up violently afterward despite the cake having been kept in the fridge. Therefore we made a complaint, and the bakery asked for photo proof as" learning" experience. The photo clearly show that they did not make the cake we asked for, they acknowledge it's not up to their own standard and offered a refund of $55 and "apologized" for not being up to our standards and preferential for our taste buds. The $50 that we ended up paying is a rather expensive single slice of cake that was thrown up down the toilet but we accepted the refund thinking they are young business with much to learn. We pointed out that the issue is not our taste nor our standard, it is that we did not get what we clearly requested and one of us got food poisoning from eating the cake. The bakery did not take responsibility saying they both ate cake and frosting and were fine. Sure they tasted a little of the cake and frosting when they were at optimal condition. We gave them benefit of the doubt, however the next day we ate the same food we ate on the birthday, the only difference being we did not eat the cake, and no one got sick this time. Advice: Do not take on order you are not familiar with. When customers complain, do a thorough investigation, talk to whoever took the order and whoever made the cake, see what went wrong before you confront customers with" no issues on our end, we only sealed it with thin layer of buttercream…" only to have you proved wrong afterwards. You said you ate the cake and the frosting so should have been fully aware of how the cake was made incorrectly and sub standard still you sell the cake, ruined our special day. -When it clearly is your mistake, own up to it and apologize, do not throw at us meaningless half apology as though it's our fault that we are not happy with the cake. 3.5 years of "professionally making cakes" is hardly experienced enough to be so sure you don't make a mistake. Look up Dearie cake Langdon, ask them for a slice of cake and a lesson in proper...

Once upon a delightful afternoon, I strolled through the charming streets of a small town, my sweet tooth craving something extraordinary. The scent of freshly baked treats led me to a quaint little cake shop named "Whipped Cakery."

As I entered, I was immediately greeted by a warm, welcoming smile from the two owners, both kindly woman with twinkling eyes and an aura of baking expertise. The shop exuded a comforting aroma of vanilla and chocolate. Shelves were adorned with artfully decorated cakes, each a masterpiece of its own.

I couldn't decide between the vibrant marshmallow caksicle and the rich, decadent chocolate brownie, so I tried a slice of both. They explained the intricate details of each cake and the ingredients used, sharing stories of their years of dedication to perfecting their recipes.

While I savored the slices of heaven, they brewed a pot of delicious mocha, and we chatted about life, travel, and our shared love for culinary art. I can feel they have a genuine interest in her customers and was genuinely passionate about their craft.

I left the shop with a heart filled with gratitude, a box of cake to share with friends, and the memory of the most extraordinary service I'd ever encountered. "Whipped Cakery" wasn't just a bakery; it was a place where the love and passion of its owners transformed a simple visit into a truly memorable experience. Their dedication to their craft and the genuine care they extend to their customers, made that day in the cake shop a cherished memory that I would carry...

I cannot recommend Whipped Cakery enough for their exceptional service and incredible talent in creating a wedding cake that exceeded our expectations. From the moment we contacted them, they made the whole process so easy and stress-free.

Jay and Alyssa were professional, responsive and attentive to our needs. They listened to our ideas and brought them to life in the most beautiful and delicious way possible. We were able to sit back and relax because we trusted them completely, and they did not disappoint.

Our wedding cake was not only beautiful, but it was absolutely delicious. To be honest we weren’t really expecting anyone to eat the cake, but when we woke up the next day there was only a tiny sliver left! It was devoured! That good!

Jay and Alyssa are incredibly talented and have truly found their calling. They made our wedding day even more special with their amazing cake, and we feel so grateful to have had them as a part of our day.

Overall, if you're looking for a wedding cake that is not only beautiful but also delicious, Whipped Cakery is the way to go. Jay and Alyssa's attention to detail and exceptional service sets them apart from the rest. Thank you again for making our wedding...

We had the absolute pleasure of having Whipped Cakery design our wedding cake—and it was everything we hoped for and more! One of our favourite details was the inclusion of our dog (who couldn’t be there on the day) as a fun little feature on the cake. Such a thoughtful, personal touch that made us smile. With 150 guests, we expected the cake to disappear quickly, but we actually had enough to share the next day at our post-wedding celebration—which was perfect! Safe to say it was the best-tasting cake in Auckland. Every tier was incredible—chocolate, vanilla with lemon curd, and banoffee—and it was all delivered on time and exactly to brief. They truly are the best in the industry, and we’re lucky enough to be regulars in their store for weekend treats—because once you’ve tasted their baking, you can’t stay away! We’re so grateful to Whipped Cakery for being part of our day. Thank you Alyssa, Jay and your talented team!
