The big breakfast here was one of the best I’ve had in quite some time. Every element on the plate was well-prepared and flavorful—from the generous serving of streaky bacon and creamy mushrooms to the perfectly toasted bread, fresh avocado, and my personal highlight, the scrambled eggs. Everything was cooked to a high standard.

I also ordered a side of hollandaise sauce, which was excellent—rich and well-balanced—so I have no doubt their eggs Benedict would be equally impressive.

If I were to offer one piece of constructive feedback, it would be regarding the iced chocolate. The presentation and texture felt a bit unrefined; it consisted of a drizzle of chocolate syrup at the bottom of the glass, mixed with cold milk and topped with a scoop of ice cream. Blending these elements together would likely create a smoother, more cohesive drink, rather than a mix of chocolate milk with ice cream and a bit of ice.

That said, I thoroughly enjoyed dining here during our trip back to Auckland. It’s definitely a spot I would return to next time I’m...

This café has very good response time and I didn't have to wait for my food very long. I had the vege burger and it tasted nice at first and looked nice however it was very saucy and thick which caused part of the filling to slide out. The burger filling didn't taste nice without the bread but the bun was small to begin with. The outer edge of the burger was wet and slightly soggy, while the inside was very dry and didn't have much sauce. The hot chocolate was good and standard albeit a bit watery. The area was nice, more suited towards a sunny day as well as small groups. There was not much space for large families. Surprisingly, there was only one bathroom for all customers regardless of gender and it was outside the cafe as well. Personally the food was sub-par and not completely worth the experience but at the same time enough...

I don’t often write reviews like this but unfortunately we did not have a good experience and will definitely not be back. I work in hospitality so I know how hard it can be but… The guy serving was extremely rude and short with me. There are no kid’s options and when I asked if I could do a half portion for a child I was told that they were unable to do so, while ordering my food I removed 2 things from my meal and asked if I could replace them with an option I was able to have and I was told that was fine but it would be and extra $16 dollars, $8 each, making a very basic meal go from roughly $25 dollar meal almost $40. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy to pay decent money for a good meal and for extras when need be but this...

Wow, what a lovely little spot. A little bit congested inside preparing to order but a local told us the wait was worth it and boy was she right. Sitting outside in the sun was already lovely and then the food arrived. First up, coffees and a banana smoothie. Scrumptious. Then, the food. A pork belly burger with the most delicious melty meat, chips and aioli, very generously portioned !! The winner overall though… the chicken bruschetta ! Wowie! What a meal, superb. Quick service, lovely food, good environment, RECOMMEND!!

We stopped here for afternoon tea, as it is halfway from Auckland to Taupo. We didn’t have hot drinks however my husband and son sheet of juice which was great. We all had something out of the cabinet I had this sausage roll, our son had a cookie and my husband had a doughnut. The portions were good however my sausage roll was a little bit on the bland side. But the barbecue sauce made up for it.
