So good! This place definitely lives up to the great reviews it has received and just may become our go-to place for date night.

I was able to easily make a booking online through their website on the day we wanted to dine there. When we arrived, our table was ready and waiting for us. Hubby ordered one of the specials - a bbq bacon burger with tater tots and I ordered the roast butternut and cauliflower steak.

My husband quite enjoyed his burger and tots (and so did I, he shared a few bites with me!). I was a bit disappointed in my dish, the butternut was fairly dry. When we were asked how things were, I was honest about the dryness of the butternut and our awesome host offered to bring out some more sauce for it, which was the perfect solution and I devoured up the remainder of my main! The whipped ricotta was especially delicious! I could have eaten a bowlful of just that!

We decided, after tasting how delicious the mains were that we had better try a dessert. We went with the hazelnut molten cake (or something like that). However, I was quite disappointed when I bit into the cake and discovered it had actual nuts in it. While I like hazelnut flavor, I do not like nuts in my dessert. My husband didn't mind, however, as it meant he got to eat the majority of the dessert himself!

We definitely plan on coming back to try more of everything! Oh and I just realized, I didn't talk about the atmosphere, though that has been covered in other posts, know that it is a cozy, perfect spot for a date night or even a dinner out...

Hi - Just wanted to Thank You for the great experience we had last Sunday. We had come into T.A. and felt like coffee & brunch. We were initially greeted like friends by the wonderful young lady at FoH. (I honestly thought she knew my wife, but she was just completely warm & friendly! - sorry we didn't get her name!) Our Server Hadlee, was an awesome young woman. She was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable about all of your dishes. She wasn't fazed by any of our questions, and we believe she went above and beyond. The only thing she didn't know the answer to she went and checked and came back to us with a couple of options. Every time she came to our table (and our neighbors) she was warm, approachable and looked like she was enjoying her role! Our coffees were great, all our food and sides were awesome! All staff we encountered or spoke to during our visit were an absolute credit to your establishment. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to The Storyteller, we'll definitely be back next time we're in T.A. We'll tell anyone who will listen to visit The Storyteller. I think we'd even come to T.A. from Hamilton solely to come to your Restaurant. Thank You and please pass on our Thanks & comments to your awesome staff!! Regards - Marc &...

I always write fair reviews—if I’m not happy with the food, I’ll make it known. I took some clients out to Storyteller Eatery & Bar after browsing their website and being drawn in by how cozy it looked. When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the atmosphere was—dark, cozy, and genuinely welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Looking at the menu, I was initially underwhelmed. There were only a handful of options, and I was worried there wouldn’t be enough variety or quantity. How wrong I was. The food was incredible—juicy burgers, fresh salads, and very generous portions. None of us could finish our meals. I even got up afterward to personally thank the chefs. As they say: never judge a storyteller’s book by its cover. 10/10. I should have taken more photos.

A surprisingly enjoyable and visually warming experience visiting Storyteller for a drink and something to eat. The decor was interesting enough to have me out of my seat taking a few photos, and the front of house staff were friendly and worked with good attitudes. There was one miscommunication with a food order, that could easily have been avoided had the young waitress written the order down and then repeated it back, ensuring then that the order was correct. Basically a rookie mistake, that was soon rectified and did certainly not take away from the experience. I suspect the real stars at Storyteller are the kitchen staff, who consistently send out well presented and tasty dishes. I’m looking forward to returning, and enjoying more of the menu.
