The pastries and food look absolutely amazing, but I was quite shocked by how unfriendly the staff were. I wasn't even sure he was "serving" me when I entered. There was no greeting, and 100% no thank you or any acknowledgement that I was a paying customer. I spent just under $50 on delicious looking pastries and walked away feeling very... undervalued. Do people not smile, greet, and thank customers anymore? He passed on the order to another staffer so he could go and make coffees, but the person who took over just gave me the pastries, said something like "I've put them all together" and served the next customer. The cutest bakery tucked amongst some local shops in Westmere. I quite liked the simple aesthetic, no usual glass counter in the front, but a line up display of baked goods and labels. Everything you order looks exactly as displayed. I had every intention of just popping in for a humble Potato Top pie, but I was intrigued to say the least. I had more than my fair share! The staff are also friendly and lovely. The atmosphere is perfectly casual with a cute bench out the front where you can park yourself down for that first awaited nibble of pastry. I'll keep coming...
