Subway — Restaurant in Whau

I see a lot of negative reviews here, but I think those people don't know the secret. This is by far the best subway in the country, and I eat ALOT of subway. I go out of my way to get to this subway, I drive past two other subways, the key is Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Subway talks about it's sandwich technicians, there is often signs suggesting I ask the technician. Every other subway in the country I get little help. The Wednesday and Thursday sandwich technician, is friendly and helpful, and will make you a sub to die for, even if you have no clue what you want.

Instead of "which salads do you want? Even though you already told me you just want a sandwich and no preference or desire to choose what's in it" that is echoed around the country..... On Tuesdays and Thursday nights you can make a simple request for a sandwich you don't have to think about... And the question is... "is there anything you don't like" and the result is always amazing.

Let's face it, the best sandwich is always a sandwich made to someone else's taste, that's why fast food is so popular. Subway need to clone this sandwich technician and have a version at every store imo.

This technician does not just put stuff on bread as requested in a specific order....

Today(29/09/24) at 12’ish o’clock I ordered a footlong sub and was disappointed with the quality of the food and the service. The salad was not fresh, and when I requested hot sauce, the employee mistakenly added BBQ sauce instead. Rather than correcting the mistake, she merely scraped off the BBQ sauce and added the hot sauce on top, which was not acceptable. But I did not want to make a fuss about it as we all can make mistakes… I wanted to dine in, but I was now feeling disappointed, so I took it as takeaway. When I opened my sub, the ends of the bread had been folded along with the paper wrap! And I could still taste the leftover BBQ sauce, which ruined my meal. I hope you will address these issues to prevent them from happening to other customers, because I will never buy from Avondale...

Subway has always been my go-to option for a quick and satisfying meal, but unfortunately, this visit was quite disappointing. But on 13/07, at 9pm I ordered a Three Pepper Chicken Footlong, and the quality was far below expectations. The staff member on duty did not provide good service. The sub had very little sauce, despite my partner clearly mentioning the sauce choices. The cheese portion was minimal, and the bread was over-toasted, making it difficult to enjoy. Additionally, the veggies were insufficient, which made the overall sub dry and unappetizing. I usually enjoy Subway meals and have had great experiences in other branches, but this time was genuinely upsetting. I hope you can take this feedback constructively and ensure better quality and service...
