This place is actually my favorite takeaway place in Auckland right now, have been here over 5 times since I discovered this place just before the 2021 August lockdown. The service is always first class, with a smile and great humor. The hot and spicy option is actually the perfect mix between full flavors and spice. The vulcano is similar but for me just a tad to much, if you can handle your tongue this one is for you. The chicken is soo juicy and crisp it beats out any friend chicken contenders by a mile which leads me to sometimes just order a side of normal fried chicken. Getting a whole size chicken also gives you a free side of coleslaw or pickled radish. And the fries are what seems to be freshly cut to order, as they are also some of the best takeaway fries in the region. The wait times are short even when busy, and for the quality of food you receive, the price is definitely acceptable. Please keep the quality up and you will keep me coming back. You...
Read moreIf you’re a true fried chicken lover, K-Chicken Avondale is an absolute must-visit. From the moment I walked in, the aroma alone promised something special, and it more than delivered. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, unbelievably juicy on the inside, and seasoned with that authentic Korean flair that keeps you coming back for more. The flavours were bold yet balanced, whether it was the spicy kick, the sweet-and-savoury glaze, or the classic crunch, every bite felt like pure comfort food elevated to the next level. The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that made the dining experience even better. It’s rare to find a spot that nails both food and service at this level. Overall, K-Chicken Avondale doesn’t just serve fried chicken but it delivers a culinary experience that raises the bar for Korean fried chicken in Auckland. Highly recommended, and easily one of my new...
Read moreHaving lived in Sydney where Korean Fried Chicken is everywhere, K chicken is truly a hope for tasting great KoreanFC. We ordered the Snowy Cheese chicken and the Soy Garlic Chicken, we also had the Slaw, Chips and Radish sides which were very well priced! The chicken too is very well priced compared to some, especially when there is also a boneless option. Have seen the signage when driving past over the months but only recently stopped and decided to try it out when we found out it was actually a Korean fried chicken joint. More advertising, esp on social media would really help K Chicken get out there. So if you're out in the west! This is the go to for KoreanFC. 😍 Did I also mention their great service and plenty of space for dine in. My only feedback is the need for table service :) and table water option, as I'd probably need this if I went for the Volcano...
