Restaurante El Churrasco — Restaurant in Managua

Expectations were high, based on the look of the place and the price tag on the menu. I was fooled. Waiters are professional but I order 2 simple appetizers and it took 25 minutes to arrive at my table. A place with linen table clothes and nice table settings that is touting to be a steakhouse should be at least reasonable close to that. As I looked around at the table near me and saw the Steaks that were coming out I felt glad I hadn't spent the money on a steak meal. But still had high expectations of the tacos and sauages to come. These are appetizers mind you, they arrived 3 rolled tacos which didn't fit what the word taco meant to me. Ok no problem. Rolled tacos a great except these had thick tortillas that were fried hard enough to be a little difficult to bite through. Again no issues but I was waiting for a savory interior. There was so little meat and filling inside I could barely taste anything. They gave 2 dipping sauces a plane Latin cream and ketchup. Yep I just said ketchup. Enough. That was the good part. The sausages were simple store bought bland no flavor having sausages. I couldn't even eat 1 of these. I guess I have more food to give the kids in the street. I won't be fooled twice...

This used to be a good place, I used to prefer it to Los Ranchos (another stakehouse), but service was not that great this time. Waiters seemed to be at a loss for tending to requests (repeated, re-stated). They seem to be train for a task, but can't get the spirit of their job. The meat was not at the propper term as ordered, for two of us sitting at the same table. I asked for medium rare and got rare and the other asked for medium and got medium rare. It was OK, nothing special. The waiter played like he knew everything but in reality he does not know what a real good steak is. I ordered this steak called a high heel filet mignon. It came to me an inch thickness when we all know filet mignon is 3+ inches thick. It was nowhere near as tender as it should have been. To be honest, I didn't even finish it.
