Shanghai China Bistro
Hands-down, the best Chinese restaurant in Nicaragua. I would compare this Chinese restaurant to some of the best in the United States. Service is really quick and the food is amazing. I highly suggest eating any of these dishes in my pictures. I’ve ordered every single thing on the menu now, and these are my favorite dishes, besides the wonton.
The only complaint I have is that they do not have Asian imported beers. They only have local beers. If I could drink a Sapporo, Kirin, Tsing Tao, or even a corona. I would be very happy.
Egg rolls are prepared and served perfectly. You can tell this is homemade fresh eggrolls.sometimes too oily.
The Gyoza is also great, but not my type of Gyoza. I like the more Japanese style Gyoza . But it’s still great.
Alaskan roll, Great sushi roll and great fresh ingredients. Rice tiny bit over cooked.
Wonton- I prefer the Gyoza over the Wonton. This is ok
Pork, I always order this. This is one of my favorite dishes.
Green beans with grounded pork, my favorite dish! I always order extra pork with the green beans. Sometimes too salty. Always order this, you will be happy!
Shrimp fried rice, they make the second best fried rice in Nicaragua. This fried rice is exceptional!
Do not miss this restaurant!! Highly...
Read moreIm back after the third visit here. If you look for my first review I mentioned the chicken was horribly spicy that both us could not eat.
We went back a second time because the general tso was good. We ordered it again and it was disgusting. It tasted like it had been reheated 3-4 times and it was badly burnt and covered with extremely spicy sauce. It tasted completely different from 2 months ago. The waiter exchanged it for another dish probaly because they knew the whole batch was trash and we would complain again. Shame on them.
We decided that maybe last time was an accident. Shame on us. We ordered the same dish that was exchanged and it to was disgustingly overcooked. Im not sure if they keep reheating old food from the buffet or the quality is just bad. I didn't complain this time to them but instead I will ever go there again. Too bad they cannot consistently serve quality food. We spent around $50 each time and they will lose our business forever. Also our waitress took forever to bring two drinks. We actually got our gross food before our drinks. What a sham. Please go downstairs to one of the many...
Read moreExpected better Chinese food. Some dishes were ok but others need to be avoided. The steam red snapper was good but beware that it is spicy, which was not a problem for us. The chicken with broccoli was good and included mushrooms. The shrimps with garlic and soy sauce, please avoid unless you like extremely salty over cooked shrimps. Rolls and sushi should not be served as they are worse than mall quality. The ratio of rice to sushi was 10:1, so good luck finding the fish. I would recommend for them to eliminate these items. The waitstaff also need training as they don’t know the dishes well, so take their recommendations with a grain of salt. I would not...
