Talked about it so many times and finally made a lunch visit to the local Korean spot along the main strip. Typical Korean BBQ grill tables and nice helpful colored photo menus. Those novice stomachs to the Korean cuisine need not be afraid. Popular dishes will not disappoint as i did most of the ordering for my family. Japchae (noodles), bulgogi (beef), and samgyeopsal (pork belly). I opted for the traditional mul naengmyeon (cold noodle soup) which is more for the brave at heart. Savory broth with a hint of sweetness and chewy noodles that need cutting (sissors) before eating... and yes, I said cold. Traditionally served with shaved ice inside the broth. No complaints about the sides and the kimchi was very good. Fried pork belly was definitely the winner today for the rest of the family. Although both tasty good, I found the japchae and bulgogi very similar in style and flavor. Normally I would of paired my meal with a couple bottles of soju but, being lunch I just couldn't and our table grill was never used. Will have to come back during the evening hours to really grill and soju! Staff was attentive, food arrived quickly and the experience was perfect less the A/C not really keeping up. Imagine when all the grills are going how bloody hot it will be. More soju I guess!
