Greetings Darlings! ♥️
I was out on a lunch date with my Favourite handbag, my pretty sister😊. I decided to visit The Tropic Galleria without any idea of where we would have lunch because there are several options in the galleria. Upon Arrival, it wasn’t difficult to decide because of the sight my eyes behold. The artificial white tree simply endeared me and I just led the way.
BROOK LOUNGE is simply Magical with super perfect lighting, exquisite feel, luxurious style, beautiful aesthetic, picture perfect and different sitting positions with tables for 2, 3, 4 and a group of people to mention a few. The waiter who welcomed us was beautiful, polite and very friendly😊. Her name is Sandra. She complimented me with a smile and asked if it’s a table for 2 or 3 and I replied for 2 then she gave us the best spot to sit.
They serve both Continental and Nigerian dishes and we sure had a taste of both when we ordered.😉
𝙈𝙊𝘾𝙆𝙏𝘼𝙄𝙇 – • Chocolate Milkshake and
• Pink Frozen 🍹. Fresh Pineapple, coconut milk, simple syrup and Grenadine. We both enjoyed our drinks. The Barman sure knows his craft.
𝙈𝘼𝙄𝙉𝙈𝙀𝘼𝙇 - • Chicken Alfredo. Chicken Tagliatelle, mushroom, white cream and pepper (on request).
• Bitter leaf soup, Poundo Yam and Cowtail.
I had the Chicken Alfredo and honestly, I didn’t enjoy my meal. I could have made a better choice.😞 I will definitely do when next i visit.
My sister chose a Nigerian dish and she enjoyed every bit of her meal to my jealousy 🤕.
𝙍𝙀𝙑𝙄𝙀𝙒 – One thing i noticed is the theme of Brook Lounge is White. Practically every furniture is white and interiors are white.
There are beautiful antiques placed strategically to catch your attention. Ranging from clocks, bicycles, and other items. I was beyond impressed with the Aesthetic to be honest. Awesome decor, Squeaky clean, Mirrors which by the Way were clean, Perfect Ambience,
Friendly staff cutting across everyone not just the waiter who attended to us. Perfect for birthday lunch, Dinner, family get together, lunch date, brunch date, Romantic dates, and more. Scented candles placed in some corners. DJ played jazz all through our stay and that set the perfect mood while i dined and savoured every moment I spent there. Simply put, Brook Lounge is luxurious in every sense of the word.
𝙇𝙊𝘾𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 – Plot 269 Muhammad I, Muhammadu Buhari Way, Central Area, Abuja.
𝙋.𝙎 – There is an outdoor setting adorned with artificial flowers, trees and antiques. Looking like a garden but one with a roof. It’s a beautiful sight, trust me🥰. The interior designer is a Lady who happens to be the owner of this restaurant and also a Nigerian!♥️😍
Buffet on Request. There is a menu to go with it and there is an option to work with your budget. That’s awesome. 👌🏽👏🏽 Meanwhile, Service rendered isn’t affordable. OPEN - 9AM CLOSE - 11pm. RATING – I would have given this restaurant a full mark but for the absence of a Restroom and the taste of my meal. For all the aforementioned, I am rating Brook Lounge 9/10.
So Guys, what do you think about Brook Lounge? Would you visit? 🤔 I hope you would because I would definitely recommend 👌🏽🥰. Meanwhile, I'm active on Instagram @EatOutWithAlexis. Read moreSo, this is an honest review of my experience last night at this restaurant and might come across as harsh but hey!! Like I said " my experience "
Last night was my friends birthday dinner and they made a mess of it. Imagine in these times we're in and one decides to gather a good few to release tension and celebrate only to be met with poor service and hostile staff.
This reservation was made 2 weeks prior to the gathering, food, sitting positions where all decided, come the very day, it was the exact opposite. The waiter got the most of it, but in all honesty it wasn't his fault. No prior info as to what to expect, or who he would be catering to, simple instructions as to food setting and cake entrance all a complete disappointment.
Now comes in the owner. I understand that customers can be a bit much, but this right here was poor service, you come in and sends for the celebrant, that you want to see her. "To me" I didn't see the need for that, if you couldn't walk to the table to find out what the issue was, then you could've waited till we left, then speak with your staff. They have her number, if you feel the situation warrants an apology, free lunch or so on, you do the needful. Not summon your guest like ya'll familiar. You're in the hospitality business, act the part. I'll stop here before it turn into a rant rather than a review.
You're in business to serve people, kindly do so, there is tension everywhere, so if a select few decide to choose your place to mark a memorable day or to ease off tension, try make it as conducive as possible.
So all is all i'll rate the food: 6/10 service 4/10 and belive me when I say; I'm being very very...

Let’s start with the good parts: the restaurant looks ok, one can tell they tried, but it is not perfect. And the waitress was kind.
Now on to the bad parts.
First off when you are expected to pay top dollars, you’d expect high quality ingredients. You can trash this concept when you enter this place. They have no idea how to select ingredients.
My friend and I ordered the fried prawns and a greek salad for appetizers and a beef escalope, and fish Suya for mains.
The prawns were ok, but the oil was bad quality and exaggeratedly tokunbo (reused). The oil was the same for the beef escalope and the French fries. The look of the escalope was scary and the taste of the food itself was a 2 over 10 at best.
The Greek salad featured very cheap ingredients. I couldn’t recognize the feta cheese. It was definitely something else and of lowly quality. The cucumbers and the olives were of very poor quality too. Only the tomato made sense.
In their defense, the fish suya was very good.
Lastly in the drinks department… I had to return my glass of white wine. The wine was syrupy and orange and when I tasted it, it was horrible. To add insult to injury they charged for it a premium price of 5,000 naira (that’s right, $10 for a GLASS of very bad wine I couldn’t swallow).
The overall cost of the dinner was very high and the experience was excruciating on the palate. $69 dollars for two after all this…
If you are a foodie, run away...
