It was nice food. Cannot compare it with Lahore street food, where i grew up eating sehri from gawal mandi and aftari from mozang chauk almost all my life. But one thing i would like to suggest them, please argue in the kitchen. Not infront of the desk and not infront of customers, and certainly you dont tell the chef what to do while they are planning for the day. Somebody made some mistake on whatever issue, just let it go. You guys have all the time afterwards or do it in the backrooms. That for me was a vibe killer. I went on proposal from my family and in-laws but expected something like this because i have seen such scenes before in Norway and stopped eating from restaurants after visiting just two in norway. For norsk pakistanis may be they like such atmosphere but for a pakistani from lahore who has enjoyed the street vibes of inner lahore city, rahat bakers dinning hall, fortress markets, link road model town food spots, it was sadly not worth the time but i still enjoyed because my family was happy there. As i mentioned the food was still nice and representation was A-Ok. So i hope the staff recieves this review...
Read moreWe went as a group of 7 people. We were seated and after 10mins le waiter asks us to change tables with another group of guests to better accommodate their large group, not the best of starts and a little rude in my opinion. The food arrives staggered and we are missing some of the drinks ordered. The food I got was supposed to be a medium level of spice but had no taste at all. The mango lassie was good but not the best I have ever had, and overpriced compared to other Indian restaurants in the Oslo area (79nok). The restrooms were already dirty at 18:45 and there was no more toilet paper or hand towels. Some of the prices on the bill were different than on the menu. Getting a servers attention was difficult, we waited a lot for the check and tried to get their attention many times without success to try and get the drinks and food that was missing. Overall very disappointed by the food, the service and commodities. Also disappointing in comparison to the Stavanger restaurant which was...
Read moreThis restaurant has the best Peshawari naan I've ever had, and I love their Palak Paneer. I recommend eating there. BUT they should just stop delivering food, because they don't seem to handle it. Maybe they should start serving "Zouq surprise take-away" instead, because the last three times I have ordered food there, there has been some mistake in my order. One time I got chicken instead of Paneer, the second time one dish was missing, the third time I got two cheese Nan instead of Peshawari, and something spicy that is chicken, but definitely not butter chicken. The first two times I called them and they delivered new food once (an hour later), and gave a refund for the missing food the other time. But now that it has happened three times in a row I have learned my lesson. I love your food, Zouq, and I will be back, but I will not order deliveries...
