Arrived at time and got a table in the most trafficked part of the restaurant, by the kitchen. The bistro style menu was a bit confusing and way out of our comfort zone. We got a bottle of still water that we had to pour ourselves. Than the menu was explained and we ordered a scallop and a tartare for starters and halibut with asparagus and small baked potatoes as sides, for mains. Alvahrino and pinot noir for the starters and Alvahrino for the mains. The alvahrino came in a larger quantity in the glass. Both wines were acceptable in tast and flavor. No amuse from the kitchen? We waited in anticipation. The wine diminished in the glases. We didn't have to wait for long. The two causes were beautifully presented. The tartar was a bit on the salty side. Chives and crunchy crumble capers fritters made the dish work. The scallop came alone in a sea of tasty creamy sauce and tarragon oil, topped with caviar and dill. The halibut came with out any evidence of being on the grill. The asparagus and onion side dish was a bit peculiar, so was the saus. Baked potatoes? The only possible choice? I would have done better with a more traditional approach. My back kept being contacted by unknown acquaintances as we waited to order our desserts chocolate egg and cream brulee accompanied by a 3 puttonyos tokaji. We actually got quite bored waiting for the waiter to take the dessert orders. The desserts were delicious, in generous amounts and you can't go wrong with a tokaji. We will waiting some time before we visit again to give room for improvements.

We came here for dinner on weekday and the huge main dining hall was 80% packed, to my surprise, full of locals. My wife and I chose porterhouse and tbh, it far surpassed our expectations. This probably ranked among the top 5 best steak i ever had and i considered myself a foodie who is well traveled, including multiple trips to famous steakhouse in Japan. The service from the young waiter is not perfect but very efficient and friendly, i really think this place deserves a much higher score in google 4.5-4.7 would be fair imo. Not cheap but certainly worth spending.

We had an absolutely lovely time with one of the waiters, he was a great host, but we had a hard time connectong with the other people that came to our table. Not much response from them when trying to talk. The food was SO great, especially the indrefilet with her butter, and the room looked amazing. Chairs were not very good to sit on, so our lower backs were aching when we left, especially my mum. So in conclusion: Slightly mixed feelings about the visit.
