I recently had the pleasure of visiting Le Café Pomme, and it’s safe to say it exceeded all my expectations. Tucked away in a cozy corner south of KlosterGarasjen, this café offers a perfect blend of ambiance, service, and of course, delicious food and beverages. My parents and I had been driving since 7 AM and we arrived at around 3 PM, so unfortunately I completely forgot to take pictures!
But to try and paint a picture, the moment you step inside, you're greeted by warm lighting, rustic wooden furniture, and a welcoming atmosphere and barista. Both men at Le Café Pomme were as delightful as the food and drinks they serve. We sat right in front of the disk and got to see how attentive they were to their work (they were working on a new menu while simultaneously taking care of customers!).
Now, onto the main event—the food and drinks. The coffee and tea here is nothing short of amazing. We ordered a double cappuccino, a matcha latte, and a cafe mocha. My mocha was rich, smooth, and just the right temperature. As we arrived late, I missed out on some of the things I wanted to try, but the pastry selection left at 3 PM is also worth mentioning—perfectly baked and delicious. I may have indulged a little and ordered a croissant, a pain au chocolat, a strawberry tart, and two more of the strawberry tart and a lemon meringue tart to go.
Overall, Le Café Pomme is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great coffee and food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through like us, this café deserves a spot on your list. I'll definitely be coming back!...
Read moreI came here because I googled "breakfast places in bergen" and decided this place looks really nice. Arriving there, I got a warm welcome, and recommendations. I tested the Pistachio Eclair, the chocolate cake, and the lemon meringue for desert. For main it was the ham quiche.
Eclair: straight up 10/10, it tastes so damn good, and the creme was really flavorful!
Chocolate cake: extremely fluffy creme, wich reminded me of mouse a chocolat! What i didn't like too much was the dough, a bit too chewy for my taste, but overall still super delicious 7.5/10
Lemon meringue: never tried it, and while not quite my taste, im sure people who enjoy this kind of desert, are going to love it! 8/10
Ham quiche: super rich in flavor, and tasted really good overall the texture was very fluffy, and everything kind of melted together in the mouth.
I can really recommend this café to everyone that visits, or residents...
Read moreCute little café. The barista is very friendly and dedicated, and put all his heart in his craft. However he is alone and at time, when it gets busy, it can take a litte bit long to get your order. One chausson aux pommes and a double cappucino cost me surpringly 148 nok, which I noticed after I left the café, unfortunately. I believe that the girl at the cash machine charged me wrong but still I got what I ordered so until now I cannot figure it out, so just check that you are charged the correct amount before making payment, which is what I should have done. The chausson was fine, the coffee tasted average, all in all for 148 nok I will not return, however if you are on the lookout for a café, here is an option not be disregarded... At...
