The place is incredible. When you enter the atmosphere just gets you the place ia very comfortable and there is also a calm music that's playing in the background. I had one beer which was pretty nice. Homemade fish soup which was beyond perfect and also medium rare moose main meal which was pretty delicious. The service was perfect aswell. The waitress just came from nowhere and told us that there is pretty big aurora borealis that can be seen out of the restaurant which was very kind of her side. When you get seated you get water and some bread with butter. I totally recommend this place if you visit Reine in Lofoten.

Appetizers were quite good, but our halibut fish main was very dry unfortunately. We had a large table of 10 people next to us so we had to wait a really long time for service and for our disappointing main courses. We Wanted to love it after the appetizers, but the experience slid right off unfortunately. We felt the value also wasn’t there and had much better experiences on our trip for the money. (Paleo arctic) Food 7/10 Service 6/10 Atmosphere 8/10 Value 6.5/10

This place was just amazing. Charming people and fantastic food (meat, fish - halibut especially -, appetizers..) that was well presented but also satsfying - was not hungry after. If you come to Lofoten you have to come here. Yes it is pricey (~33 NDK for a reindeer meal for example) but honestly worth every penny. Rather eat a few days home cooked food and then eat a meal here :) The atmosphere and music is also lovely plus cozy with a nice log fire going.

We tried the fish soup, and it was quite delicious. Save some bread for it; don't eat it all with butter. I also tried their venison, which was very good, especially thanks to the creamy wild sauce (not sure what it's made with, but it's so so yummy). Hubby had the rack of lamb, that came with a red wine strawberry sauce. It was good if you're a fan of lamb; for me, the lamb (wooly) flavour was too strong. Good service too!

Had a great visit to Restaurant Gammelbua! We had the Deer and the Lamb and it was bort delicious! The meat was grilled just as we wanted and the sides was just perfect! For dessert we had the amazing apple pie and coffee! We were seated outside and enjoyed the view. Our waitress was super nice and took good care of us! Will definitely come back for our next visit! Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was one of my favorite places that I’ve eaten in Northern Norway. We loved our starters and our mains. We got an assortment of dishes that the waiter recommended. I’ve always wanted to try moose and it did not disappoint. The moose was perfectly cooked. Glad we chose this place. The entire vibe was very chill cozy Norwegian. I’ll definitely be back.
