Reine Utsiktspunkt — Local services in Moskenes

Reine is certainly a pretty place, located right behind Moskenes where the ferry from Bodø arrives. The Lofoten, however, are not what they were 40 or so years ago: They're still gifted with a spectacular scenery, but literal traffic jams of RVs during high season diminish the experience considerably. Moreover, at times you get the impression of being in some sort of Zoo: Notice the chicken wire! It was not clear to me who's supposed to be fenced off from whom—the locals from the tourists or the tourists from the locals... For hiking Reinbringen, you can park for free either here or at Steffenakken (as shown on Google Maps). But these free spots usually fill up quickly, so it’s better to come during off-peak times to get a space. Otherwise, you can park in Reine, but the paid parking there can be expensive — around 50 NOK per hour — so I recommend checking the prices...

This is a parking space right next to E10, it is a really nice view of Reine without having to walk at all.

This parking got full quite often because of people walking to Reinebringen from here.
