Before I use my personal time to give my honest review on Lofoten B&B, I ask that Booking.com DO NOT "hide" the poor reviews and only allow the good reviews to surface when users choose "newest reviews" as their filter on postings made by travelers. I make this comment because I noticed that many unfavorable & recent reviews (expressing dissatisfaction against Lofoten B&B), only surface when further filters/sorting are applied on Booking.com website. On the otherhand, the "good & favorable" reviews will automatically and immediately surface when we look at the B&B's "newest reviews".||||Below are my comments on Lofoten B&B:||For the very high price point we paid, we expected something of a higher standard in return. However, it was not the case.||||Our room is bare, poorly and dimly lighted, there is no view (the window faces the blank wall of the neighboring building). There were no cupboards, no wardrobes, no shelves in our room. There is a clothes hanger for jackets and windbreakers but all other clothes, bags, personal belongings, snacks etc have to be placed on the floor (and the floor is dirty). There is a small low table, size is about one foot by one foot, sufficient only to put the kettle and 2 glasses.|||| The bathroom is mouldy (with black mould) all around the shower floor. The sink is tiny, the tap is low, and water spills onto the floor. No bathroom floor towel is provided to wipe the water spills on the floor. We stayed altogether 3 nights, and only 3 toilet rolls are provided. Towels were not changed, rubbish in our room not removed and room was not cleaned througout our 3 nights stay.||||Breakfast was miserable compared to other accomodations we stayed in the Lofoten Islands. Only one type of low-end bread (displayed cold, need to heat up in the toaster provided in the breakfast room). No hot food served. Corn and wheat crackers are stale and soft (passed expiry date??). This is the lowest grade breakfast we had throughout our 12-days trip in Lofoten and yet at a very high room rate. ||The B&B has coffee and tea in 2 separate flasks placed in the common area, but they are cold and mostly empty and not refilled. No alternate coffee powder packs or tea packs are...

Read moreOur holiday at this hotel was originally booked in 2019. Due to the pandemic the owner - Therese - kindly held our booking over until we were allowed to travel again. She gave us excellent support during this time.||The B&B is quite a large establishment ideally placed at the entrance to the village between the significant photography viewpoint and the centre for amenities. Free car parking is available across the street.||The hotel is well maintained and cared for by the delightful staff. Our room was clean and well decorated. On the ‘Goldilocks’ test the bed was a little too soft for me. Breakfast is available in a new room, with good lighting and ventilation. For those less stable on their feet there is a narrow step to the upper level to be careful of. There is no handle to assist in the rise. Coffee/tea is available in the lounge area. There is an outside seating area with blankets available for cooler nights. ||Overall we highly recommend this accommodation.||The only issue we had was in finding our room! You are sent a text in Norwegian with 2 codes..…one for the outer door and one for you room. There are two entrances and we were a little confused as to where our room was located when...
