Strongly not recommend to anyone who want to have a lunch or dinner alone!!!

Subject: Complaint regarding refusal of service due to being alone

Dear Manager/Owner

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding an incident that occurred at your esteemed establishment, Arno Restaurant, on 3 of June 2023 I visited your restaurant with the intention of enjoying a meal, but I was unexpectedly denied entry by the manager, an older lady, solely because I was dining alone.

I would like to highlight that this discriminatory treatment goes against the principles of equality and inclusiveness that should be upheld by any respectable establishment. As a paying customer, I should not be subjected to such unjust treatment based on my choice to dine alone.

I believe that every individual, regardless of their party size, deserves to be treated fairly and without bias when patronizing a restaurant. It is both disheartening and concerning that your manager made a decision to refuse me service based solely on my solo dining status, without any valid reason or justification.

Not only does this incident reflect poorly on your restaurant's reputation, but it also discourages potential customers who may wish to dine alone or do not have accompanying guests. It is essential to create an environment where all guests feel welcome, irrespective of their party size, to foster a positive dining experience and encourage repeat business.

I kindly request that you address this matter promptly and take appropriate action to ensure that such discriminatory incidents do not occur in the future. It is crucial to reinforce a culture of inclusivity and respect within your establishment to maintain the trust and loyalty of your customers.

In light of this incident, I would appreciate a written apology from the management as an acknowledgment of the inappropriate treatment I experienced. Additionally, I encourage you to review and update your policies and staff training procedures to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents and to promote a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

I hope that you will give my complaint the attention it deserves and take the necessary steps to rectify the situation. I look forward to a prompt response regarding the actions taken to address this matter.

Thank you for your attention and...

Came here with big expectations with all the positive reviews and having walked past nearly every day since they opened, however, I left feeling quite disappointed. The atmosphere was very charming and the lighting and acoustics were good. The service could have been a bit better orchestrated.

The caprese salad was very lacklustre, with almost no taste - felt very Rema 1000 unfortunately, and they brought out very cheap supermarket balsamic when requested - would have expected better from an Italian restaurant, especially considering what you can find at the wonderful “Smak av Italia” shop nearby. The wild boar pappardelle was delicious, however I would have preferred a higher pasta to meat ratio. Pasta was very good and well cooked. The pumpkin ravioli was delicious, although a bit on the sweet side. Tiramisu was beautiful. Table we were sat on felt pretty ancient and could benefit with some additional bolstering underneath because it felt like the top...

Worst service I've experienced, they were incredibly rude and tried to force us to buy more food than we actually wanted. They were so unprofessional and impolite we ended up having to leave. No warmth, no service mentality whatsoever, and the red wine we had not good at all.. I'm very disappointed as I really was looking forward to experiencing this place.

Yes it looks charming, but the people working here are as far from it as...

My wife and me spotted this place rather accidentally. But it couldn't be more enjoyable than to discover places like Arno. Food was excellent - I'd define it as Italian with Norwegian touch. Atmosphere very pleasant, quiet. Service perfect. It was a great pleasure to make an acquaintance with Susanna, owner of the place. For sure would recommend to visit this restaurant.

We found a reservation online and had a pleasant walk to the restaurant. The space is small but still feels comfortable and homey. There are 2 menus to choose from and we wanted the one with 3 pastas. I was happy that we could each choose the ones we wanted. Service was attentive. The highlights for me were the carpaccio, funghi ravioli, and the pappardelle with wild boar.
