To be honest kinda disappointed. We came here to a concert and because of health problems i needed to be seated. I contacted the venue via e-mail and they were very nice + offered a couple of seats to us. The problem starts when we are offered seats in front of the stage...and after I said i wanted those because it was easier for me to walk to those...they decided to seat us on the right side of the stage. Behind a column. One expects to at least be able to see SOMETHING. When we contacted them to complain they said that people that pay more have priority over us with reduced mobility 😳 then why were those seats offered to us in the first place...? And why do they sit us behind a column when we have paid over 600kr per person for this concert???? And then we ended up having to be seated behind several groups of people that didn't even have seats reserved and that are STANDING all the time, which means I cannot see the stage/performances because i cannot stand :) First and last time i come to Rockefeller. It was very disappointing. Why don't u seat those with reduced mobility in the front and the ones that can stand behind? So everyone can see the stage and enjoy the artists?
Seriously, I hope they fix this issue. As long as it continues this way I will definitely not come back to this venue.
EDIT AFTER ROCKEFELLER ANSWERED: When i say seats in front of the stage i mean in the gallery. You know I mean that. And you told us that customers that pay more are the ones that get priority to seat there when we complained about it. So please, do not try to minimize my complaint just because english is not my mother tongye and I wrote "in fron of the stage" instead of "gallery". Do not offer something via email to then give us something else. And just for the record, my boyfriend (NORWEGIAN) is the one that asked about the seats etc, and he is the one that got told by the staff that people paying more are the ones allowed to be seated in the gallery, so no language misunderstanding there. Also why do you collect information about what is wrong with each person and why we ask for seats if then you do not plan accordingly...? Do not offer a service you cannot give, that is my point. And if you offer it, then make it work. Oh and one more thing. Where the people with reduced mobility were (me included), everyone could stand in front of me. So if they can stand for hours why are they getting seats in the first place? Literally no one around me was seated except me because I had no...
Read moreI had a really bad experience with doormen of rockefeller yesterday evening at Vibbefestival. I was waiting a year to get to vibbefestival and see the artists there. I went to rockefeller and had one beer, it was pretty early and the place was pretty quiet so we went to other place and had two glasses of wine. I had a really good time until we came back to rockefeller and the guard said we were too drunk and had to take a walk, so we went to take 5min walk and came back in to hear that we need to take a longer walk. So then I started getting worried that I won't make it to see my favorite artist. We walked for 10-15min and they let us in. First thing we went to bathroom and the guard came there to get me and made me leave because in his opinion I was too drunk. I have an expressive personality so I smile and dance a lot but I was not doing anything wrong. I had no idea this can happen as long as you are polite and friendly and can stand on your feet.
I found guidelines on drinking on the website and I was definitely not in the åpenbart påvirket category. I was mostly aware and could focus well, speaking clear, I could walk straight, definitely not loud or disturbing to other guests.
I felt really bad for not getting to see the artists I paid (a lot) for. My friend told me this happens all the time in oslo but I feel this is arbitrary use of power and therefore is extremely wrong. I they start taking this matter seriously and have a conversation about policy in these kind of cases because I don't think it's nice that people have to worry about having too much fun or worry how they behave to such an extent that they have to feel uncomfortable having to cover their expressive...
Read moreReally nice place! I have been there many times and the sound has always been good. When the access to the second and third floors is open you can see the bands from above, and have access to the roof if you want to take a smoke. I have been there for both small concerts and for the Inferno festival. Even though the place looks quite small I am always impressed to see how much people it can handle without being a hell. In the full scale configuration this place is kind of unique, in a reduced configuration for usual concerts it is just a good place. However, the drinks are very expensive. Everything is more expensive in Norway, but here even more! The place is in the center of Oslo, you should take a glass before in the bars around before you enter, the security guys use to be effective, I never waited...
