I struggled with the rating because the staff is wonderful. Yes, the location may indeed be small but I don't see much of an issue with it. The only size issue I do take is with the size of the cages that many of these animals are kept in.

Beware to true animal lovers, this next paragraph might be a bit distubing to you- this place will break your heart! Standard rule for a snake cage should be "3/4 of the length of the snake." I understand it's a small place to begin with but I feel so bad for these animals, especially the snakes. One of them is on the first floor and it is being kept in a cage not even a third of it's length in size. I could see it wanting to stretch upwards by peeking it's head out of the water but there's no where for it to stretch to. It was horrendous to watch and now I can't stop thinking how cruel it is that the poor snake will never be able to stretch to it's length nor even half of it's body at a time. All in the price of money?! There was another snake in the entrance that even though it had a big cage, it just seemed to be so uncomfortable where it is, there should be a hiding place in all cages, at least give these animals the right to have a safe place for them to go into every now and then.

The marmoset was cute but it is living amongst dead or near-dead plants. Assuming that the plants are watered, perharps it's the lack of natural sunlight...

There was a comment below that this is like a torture chamber and while I wouldn't say I felt the staff was wishing harm on these animals on purpose... I do feel that they can't be too knowledgeable if they don't realize that some of these animals are living in angst and in cages that are not appropriate for their sizes.

Other than that... There is an opportunity to touch one of the snakes, I never had the chance even though I waited a long time because the lady that handles the snake took her time with a family and so everyone else waiting eventually left.

The restrooms were pleasantly clean and tidy. The store does have a lot of options of things to buy. You wouldn't miss out on anything if you are limited on time, don't feel bad if you...

This was a truly cool and unique experience. As a huge animal lover, I was immediately drawn to it. Although they call themselves a "park," it's actually a building with two floors filled with fascinating reptiles—and even two adorable small monkeys.

What made this experience stand out was that we arrived around 4 pm, just in time for the feeding sessions that lasted until 5 pm. During these sessions, a friendly staff member explained the temperament of the animals and their eating habits, even demonstrating live in front of the audience. She allowed people to pet the animals, which was a special touch. I did feel a bit concerned that the animals might be stressed from all the human interaction, but seeing how well she handled them and how much care and love she showed made me feel reassured that they’re well taken care of.

I even got to hold a snake, and my boyfriend had one draped around his neck—a very cool experience! I never thought I'd be brave enough to do something like that, but before I knew it, the snake was in my hands. It was a reminder that fear is often just in our minds; once you face it, it's not as bad as you imagined. It's the build-up in your thoughts that’s the real challenge!

I would 100% recommend this place. They also have a souvenir shop with handmade items, plush toys, magnets, and even shed snake skin. Just a heads up—there might be a lot of kids around, so expect some pushing as everyone tries to get a good view of the animals during feeding time!

Price is not bad. I paid about €20 which is 230 NOK (per person). Keep into mind that the trip is max about an hour long. It just depends how long you’d like to stay per animal and how many pictures etc you take! Personally I’ve stayed...

I took my 18 month old today. It was exactly what I wanted. It's a small space with lots of small animals that he was able to recognize from the picture books we have. It was also perfect for me as it was easy to manage a very energetic toddler in a smaller environment and still introduce him to enough animals to make it fun for me too. They had stools he could climb on to help him see and with only a few exceptions we managed to spot all the animals in their enclosures. Great mix for a small child. We were there for about 45 minutes, of course his attention span is limited so an older child may enjoy for a bit longer. I'd expect it's a bit limited for older kids or those that have already been to zoos, which is the only thing that keeps me from...

Impressive collection of creatures not just reptiles in a small space. Entrance was a bit hard to find as you enter from an inner courtyard. We especially enjoyed the veiled chameleon – it was fascinating the way that the eyes moved independently and reminded us of Miss Crawly from the movie Sing. We were also able to hold a large snake. The menacing 5 foot Cuvier's dwarf caiman (crocodile) eerily stared at us with his head just above the water and the rest of his body submerged. We spent about 30 minutes enjoying all the rare creatures but it felt overpriced as it was about twice the cost of the National Museum but this may be the going rate for activities in Oslo.
