📍Jaipur Indian – A True Gem in the Heart of Oslo❤️ I recently dined at Jaipur Indian🇮🇳 Restaurant located right in the center of Oslo on Karl Johans gate. The location is perfect—very accessible and in the bustling heart of the city, making it easy to find and a great spot if you’re out exploring. As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by a beautiful and vibrant interior✨, rich with colors, traditional Indian artwork, and unique decor that instantly transports you to India🇮🇳. Despite being busy and filled with lots of people, the atmosphere is calm and enjoyable; there’s no overwhelming noise, so you can have a conversation without shouting. The staff deserves a special mention❤️. They are extremely friendly, smiling, and genuinely helpful. When our food arrived, the naan bread was a little cold. I asked politely if it could be changed. Sometimes in other restaurants, the staff can be rude or make excuses, but here the waiter didn’t hesitate. He quickly brought us a fresh basket of warm, pillowy, crisp naan with a big smile—no questions asked! That really made us feel special. I also asked for some ice for my drink. First, the waiter brought three cubes, but when I asked for more, he happily brought a full glass of ice without any fuss. Small acts like this really make a difference and show how committed they are to great service🥰. The food itself was fantastic. Every dish was bursting with flavor, from the rich and creamy butter chicken to the perfectly spiced starters✨. The naan was incredibly soft—once it was warm, it was the best I’ve had in Oslo🇳🇴. The sauces were fragrant and full-bodied, and the portions were generous. You can really taste the authentic Indian spices and the care in each plate✨💕. While you can find delicious food in many places, good service is rare. Here, both the food and the hospitality stood out. Our family had a wonderful evening, and the welcoming atmosphere made it even more enjoyable. Plus, the beautiful decor makes it the best place to take lovely pictures to remember your visit🌸💕. Highly recommended ✅for anyone who loves Indian food, appreciates friendly service, or simply wants a memorable meal in a fantastic location! We’ll definitely be returning❤️

We were in Oslo for short trip Dfds ferry from Copenhagen-Oslo. We wanted to have some Indian food. As Jaipur Indian Restaurant is one of the popular ones in Oslo we tried it. Super affordable we got buffet for 175 Nok, with Menu ; Rice, Dal(lentils), Mixed veg, palak alu(spinach potato), pakode, chicken curry, fish curry, grilled chicken drumsticks, lamb curry, raita, kheer as dessert. Water was included in price which was plus point. The place is nice, easily food would have got 4 stars looking at the variety of food and price for it. But i had to give 3 stars due to some taste issue in lamb curry and fish curry. Lamb curry was completely missing salt and fish curry just didn't taste right. Hats off to the taste of Dal, that was awesome. Palak alu was awesome. Here and there need to control taste. We finished our lunch ordering Masala Tea as end with high expectation, but the Tea was below average, tasted watery and no Indian touch. However, Despite of here and there definately it was a cozy place with variety of food in good price so definately will go back and recomend you also. They just have to look around for taste control of food. Everything else is awesome. Ambience: ✅️✅️ Superb. Service: ✅️✅️ Superb. Food: ✅️ Good but can be better.

If you are in Oslo & craving for authentic indian food then please dont look anywhere other than this GEM - Jaipur Indian Restaurant. We came from US as a tourist in Oslo. We were craving for indian food and thought to try Jaipur. We were greeted nicely and assigned table. We ordered appetizer to Arman (our server), we asked for “indian” spicy food. All the curries were amazingly balanced from spice level and flavors. We later chatted with the owner and chef. They were super nice and welcoming. I highly recommend everyone to stop here and give them the try. Arman knows what spice level you need as long as you talk to him and explain. Their Dhaba Style Chicken is to die for. Small tip: if you are vegetarian, then ask them for Panner Dhaba Style :). Hopefully they will add this to their regular menu😀 Thank you for the amazing food experience. Certainly! Here's a detailed review for "Jaipur Tandoori":

Restaurant Name: Jaipur Tandoori Location: [Insert Location]

Cuisine: North Indian

Ambiance:

Jaipur Tandoori welcomes you with a vibrant and traditional Indian decor, reminiscent of the royal heritage of Rajasthan. The restaurant is adorned with colorful tapestries, intricate wood carvings, and beautiful murals depicting scenes from Indian culture. The seating is spacious and comfortable, allowing for a relaxed dining experience whether you're there for a casual meal or a special occasion. The soft lighting and gentle background music enhance the warm, cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for both intimate dinners and family gatherings.

Service:

The service at Jaipur Tandoori is exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive and courteous. They greeted us with warm smiles and were more than happy to guide us through the menu, explaining the dishes and offering recommendations based on our preferences. The waitstaff was quick to refill our water glasses and ensure that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was prompt, and our food arrived without much delay.

Food:

The food at Jaipur Tandoori is a true celebration of North Indian flavors. We started our meal with the Aloo Tikki, which was perfectly spiced and crispy on the outside, with a soft and flavorful interior. The Tandoori Chicken was a highlight, cooked to perfection in the traditional clay oven, with a smoky flavor that was enhanced by the blend of spices. The Butter Chicken was rich and creamy, with tender pieces of chicken swimming in a luscious tomato-based sauce that paired beautifully with the soft, fluffy Garlic Naan. We also tried the Paneer Makhani, which was equally delicious, with chunks of paneer in a smooth, buttery gravy that had just the right balance of sweetness and spice. The portion sizes were generous, and every dish was bursting with authentic flavors.

Value for Money:

Jaipur Tandoori offers excellent value for money. The prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes of the dishes. Each dish is crafted with care, and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the authenticity of the recipes. The restaurant also offers a variety of combination platters and lunch specials that are great for those looking to try multiple dishes without breaking the bank.

Cleanliness:

The restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness. The dining area is spotless, and the tables are neatly arranged with clean, polished cutlery. The restrooms are well-maintained, reflecting the overall attention to hygiene.

Overall Experience:

Dining at Jaipur Tandoori was an absolute delight. The combination of authentic, flavorful food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming ambiance made for a memorable dining experience. The restaurant captures the essence of Indian cuisine and culture, offering a taste of India in every bite. Whether you're a fan of Indian food or trying it for the first time, Jaipur Tandoori is a must-visit.

Rating: 4.5/5

Conclusion:

Jaipur Tandoori is a gem for anyone seeking authentic North Indian cuisine. The rich flavors, generous portions, and impeccable service make it a standout restaurant. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a traditional Indian meal, and I can't wait to return to try their Lamb Biryani and Gulab Jamun for dessert.

Visiting Oslo with the family and coming across this restaurant as one of the highly rated Indian restaurants, I was convinced! So, I called in and made a reservation. I was told we needed to be there before 9 pm as the kitchen would be closed after that.

I showed up with the family at 8:35pm and was immediately greeted by one of the waiters saying, "The kitchen closes at 9 p.m, Come on, hurry up! " He didn’t stop there and proceeded to show us which table we would be seated at while almost throwing menus on that table!! Keeping calm, I told myself and my family that hopefully everything would be okay. We decided what to order and waited for a waiter to show up. A waiter came in and we stated, showing which menu items we would be ordering. I wanted to order a three-course menu, and it was only 8:45pm. The waiter goes, "Oh you can’t order that because it’s already 9pm (right on the menu it says you can order until 9pm!!). I didn’t want to ruin my dinner experience, so I said okay! We ordered everything by 8:47 pm.

Then comes the fun part. A group of (white) people walked in at 9:05 pm and the waiter gladly waited until they were all ready to order. Meanwhile, I was told that the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. and that no orders will be accepted! While we are still eating our food, a waiter comes in and gives us the bill. Fine, no big deal. Then he came back right after and asked me to pay for it, which I did. I find it odd that he didn’t do that for any of the white groups sitting around us!

I’ll leave it here. The whole experience made me forget about the food, and I just couldn’t get over what I went through in...
