ZZ Pizza — Restaurant in Oslo

Disappointing experience.

After visiting more than 4 times on Saturdays and each time buying 3 pizzas, today 04/30/22 I consider that I was very poorly served at ZZ Pizza. I showed up as always to order my 3 pizzas and without telling me no and giving me to understand that a man from the staff practically refused me the sale while a pizza chef told me that they did not have the capacity to take the order and execute it.

My question is? the objective of the work is precisely this, to ensure that customers are invited, tempted to wait thanks to the good product that a company or restaurant provides! How can you tell a client that we don't have capacity (go away) For my part, I could have waited an hour if they had told me that this was the average time. How can you say we can't??? In any case, because they don't put a notice on the door that they don't make pizzas to take away at the moment, it would be more consistent. I believe that there was a great lack of professionalism in the treatment I received today. I agree with the many aforementioned reviews of the pizzas - one of the best in Oslo. An additional big plus for the innovative and creative menu. It’s refreshing to find a place which tries out new, untried combinations. Onion soup pizza, oxtail and pickled daikon - the list goes on.

I was a big fan of the onion soup pizza. It was the evening winner for me. The two-cheese-combo gave it that extra umami kick.

The place itself is packed and can feel a bit hectic. The waiters are stressed and asked us to leave our table shortly after we finished the food. We did not get the chance to order more drinks or dessert. They didn’t let us split the bill either - one table one bill. If you plan on going here, even on a weekday, book a table in advance.

Just to add; the drinks here are expensive. 124kr for a beer is a lot, even for Oslo.

We were left very disappointed after waiting almost 90 minutes for a couple of ok pizzas...

Our waiter seemed like he could not care less about the customers, and there was just no orderly working system. 30 minutes after having ordered, and not even the drinks came. A new couple were seated next to us 30 minutes after we have sat down, and their drinks came before ours, their pizzas came the same time as ours.

There are some fusion pizza ideas on the menu and many menu items looked very exciting on paper, but the final products were just mediocre. The pizza bread was nice enough, but the flavours were sub par.

All in all, it was just a real disappointment after having herd good things about this place. It's probably time to put focus back on quality, both food...
