This is the Trondheim beer institution. Huge selection of local, Norwegian and international beers. Always changing and always fresh. Overwhelmed by the list? Ask the lovely staff to guide you through and always happy to give a little taste. The pizza isn’t traditional but is super tasty. Our favourite is the Perks of being a Hotflower. A Saturday wouldn’t be right without it. I just thought that this should be mentioned after a certain local newspaper rated their pizza as less than optimal. I disagree. I think it is great. Just not a traditional Italian round pizza. More a flat bread baked with tasty and slightly unusual ingredients. (If you want some more traditional pizza, go to Grano , after a few beers at Habitat)....
Read moreWhile it's not the best pizza I've ever had, it's pretty damn good anyway! My pizza standard is fairly high having grown up in New York, and while some pizza purists out there might take offense to how creative they get, I think it makes up for not having a comparable pizza option in Norway. Whether or not it's "really pizza" is in other words moot: it's tasty as heck and gets the job done.
The prices are admittedly a bit steep, but not much more than what you'd get elsewhere. The beer is probably the most costly deviation from the norm.
Top that off with a really cozy interior and a great playlist and you actually end up having another bar worth visiting...
