My family and I (4 people total) ate dinner here. We ordered the Chana Masala, Daal Tadka, Lamb Rogengosh, and Mango Chicken (all mild). We also got an order of garlic naan, and the curries come with rice. The food was really exceptional. We are pretty big on Indian food in general and have a great place near where we live, so we went in with high expectations. I’m also vegetarian, and this place worked great. There was a whole vegetarian page of the menu and then a whole other vegan page. Personally, I thought the Chana Masala was the star of the meal. It had great flavor and was the right balance of creamy for me (which is a little creamy but still having the primary flavor be the tomato base). Long story short, if you’re looking to have some Indian food in Trondheim, I think it’d be hard to go wrong with Namaste Norge....

Without a doubt, this is the best Indian restaurant in Trondheim. The food is exceptional, but what truly sets this place apart is the extraordinary service.

When one of our friends was delayed, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Instead of letting our food get cold, they kindly offered to warm it up when our friend arrived—and even brought extra food at no additional cost!

A special shout-out to Naman and the rest of the team for their attentiveness and generosity. Vishu, who served us, was also fantastic—friendly, professional, and truly made our dining experience memorable.

This Indian restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, with a TV above the bar playing Bollywood films. It’s located in the basement, and I ordered Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, Cheese Naan, rice, and a King Chakra beer.

The main course (Butter Chicken with rice) was solid – about 7.8/10. The Garlic Naan was fantastic (10/10), while the Cheese Naan completely missed the mark (2/10). The rice was a bit plain, and I was surprised there was no papadum or small starter, which you often get at other Indian restaurants.

On the positive side, the beer was excellent (10/10), and the staff were super friendly and welcoming – I even had a nice chat with them. Overall, a mixed experience, but...
