Duke's — Restaurant in Muscat

Reservation - I called the restaurant and the call was answered within three rings. I requested a table on the verandah/balcony to watch the sunset. Parking - Sufficient parking available as it is part of a Hotel Welcome - We were welcomed by the restaurant supervisor/manager and were escorted to our table. A beautiful table with a view of the sunset, ocean and swimming pool. Drinks - We ordered margaritas, coffee martini and an old-fashioned cocktail (Whiskey) - Tasty, delightful, refreshing and good presentation Service - Jane, Uttam, Mudaher (Apologies if spelling is incorrect) were good waiters. Only one order was forgotten, but came witin a few minutes after notifying the waiter. Well Done! Venue - The inside seating of the restaurant is air-conditioned with a beautiful display of the bar, rustic, welcoming and cozy. The outside seating has wonderful views of the ocean, swimming pool and sunset. Food - We ordered the Chicken, Steak and nachos. Very tasty, well prepared and excellent presentation - Well done to the kitchen staff! Overall - Beautiful location, great service, tasty food, great cocktails and drinks selection, perfect for a romantic occasion or a gathering of friends and family. I will definitely...

I agree with other reviewers that the view is absolutely amazing and it is the best spot in Muscat to watch a sunset. First of all I want to praise the team there - everyone is very helpful attentive and friendly. I am a regular customer and I am happy to say hello, shake hands and see that staff are glad to see me. The pub was renovated and since 2018 it has developed a lot. Food is great, for a pub, so I would happily give 5 stars. Manager is great and hard working (unfortunately I do not know his name), but I see him always on the floor, helping customers, helping his staff - well done and thank you. What can I say ? Highly recommended!! - please come and see for yourself. One small remark - as I only drink Belgium stuff, it is sometimes unavailable, so I just leave... but I think this is not Duke's problem, this is...

Dukes bar and the Crowne Plaza in general have just undergone a major refurbishment and the outcome is magnificent. By far the best place for sundowners and this gets 5*. But recently got a piece of cardboard that was allegedly a medium rare tenderloin steak with what I swear tasted 100% like powdered mash potatoes. Also their claim to fame has gone belly up with fish n chips. Used to be best in town but now using local fish and the result is a mushy pasty fish rather than a good firm white fish. Friend said after that..go to Rock Bottom if you want a steak and London Fish and Cups in panorama Mall if you like English...
