Mynah's Edge at InterContinental® Muscat — Restaurant in Muscat

The restaurant is located within the Intercontinental Hotel, near the pool. At first glance, it doesn’t exactly scream “fine dining.” Picture a few tables scattered on a lawn, an outdoor kitchen that looks like a makeshift trailer, and staff casually dressed in jeans and sneakers. To top it off, the maintenance team was busy fixing things nearby while we were eating—let’s just say it added an unexpected touch of background entertainment! If none of this raises an eyebrow for the management of the Intercontinental Hotel, then maybe this place is just your style. Personally, I wasn’t too bothered because the food was absolutely fantastic, and at the end of the day, that’s what really counts. That’s why I gave it a solid four. One small tip: check your bill before you leave. We noticed something we didn’t order had been added, but once we mentioned it, the staff quickly removed it with no fuss. Lets start with the food, it was perfect here, the shish tawook and penne alfredo was the best we've had anywhere in Oman! Great customer service by Angelo and Donah. We were well looked after and they really went above and beyond. We felt extremely welcome with our 2 year old baby and their customer service is second to none! I hope they recieve the recognition they deserve.

Now comes the shisha, Hatim's customer service is exceptional and very professional. I smoke shisha everyday so I can appreciate the shisha's he makes are great! Shocker of a place, it is truly unbelievable that this is part of the IHG group! Staying at the intercontinental muscat we went to unwind here after a long day exploring beautiful muscat. But to our utter shock we were trying to be be ripped off by the shisha incharge, and on humbly checking with him he started being extremely rude and aggressive with my wife and me, it felt like we were in some shady Turkish Bylane, trying to be mugged by some uncouth thug! Though the restaurant manager tried his best to clam the situation, our experience was ruined. Wake up intercontinental and IHG, this is happening in your backyard. Disgusted and shocked.
