Read moreHad a disappointing experience which was exactly opposite to all the hype created around this restaurant. Food, Service, Ambiance, Cutlery, all were below par and below average. The overall vibe was of a beaten down restaurant instead of a highly rated famous restaurant.
To begin with food, they were out of Mutton and Beef at 10:30 PM on a weekend night. Based on the recommendations of the floor manager we ordered two chicken handi out of which the Mughalai Handi had a really bad taste and we sent it back, while the Achari Handi had good taste but the chicken was too hard and not tender while the oil content was too high. The BBQ items including chicken seekh kebab and chicken kastoori boti were very well prepared and tasted really well. We ordered cheese naan as starter which despite our reminders to wait staff was served with the food. In drinks the Fresh lime had some ice and a lemon syrup hence was not actually a lime drink. As for cutlery they gave a spoon and a fork with the knife missing for BBQ items, while they gave plastic cups for water and beverages.
We requested to book a table in the indoor seating area an hour in advance and were told that we will find space. However, upon reaching the restaurant we could not find space on the first level which was good. They gave us a table on the second level which only had one working AC and the floor manager told us to make use of whatever condition was available since the AC had gone bad. It was extremely hot and stuffy till we they moved us to the terrace 20 minutes later.
The food was delivered 50 minutes after placing the order which is extremely slow for a restaurant of this scale. The wait staff were absolutely lost and really hard to get hold of.
All in all a poor and forgetful experience since we had higher expectations from...
