Meat The Cheese is a Steakhouse restaurant and an urban Cheese Cellar Lounge located at Liberty Market near Hussain Chowk. First branch of Meat The Cheese is in Karachi and then it was opened in Lahore in September 2018. It is located on the first floor of the building so I have to take the stairs to reach to the entrance door. As I entered the restaurant I was greeted by the waiter and then he offered me hand sanitizer which kind of surprised me because most of the restaurants are not following the SOPs and even all the waiters were wearing masks and gloves so hats off to the management for taking all precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of employees and customers. As I look around I was surprised because it was houseful, so the waiter guided me to the corner table as I was alone and luckily it was the only table that was vacant. The ambiance was simple yet elegant with comfortable and decent sitting arrangements and I can smell the aroma of cheese all over the place. Theme of the restaurant is yellow, green and blue, stylish wooden tables and chairs enhance the beauty of the place, big round mirrors on the walls catches my attention, different hangings on the walls give the restaurant artistic look. There was a picturesque wall to a side, not disturbing the dining ones. As I sat on the table I realized that menu was already placed on the table to minimize the contact of waiter and customer it looks new so I assume that menu is replaced as the customer leaves the table. The restaurant’s slogan claims that this is the perfect place for cheese lovers and as I look into the menu it gives me a better understanding about their slogan because in every dish was loaded with cheese but wait not in desert section Thank God! Menu includes starters, gourmet beef and chicken burgers, steaks, pasta, smoothies and mocktails, and finally deserts. . I am not a cheese lover but still after going through the menu for like 10 minutes I decided to order Insanely Cheesy Burger (Beef). To my surprise my order came in only 10 minutes and I was already impressed by their service as the waiter places my meal on the table my eyes goes like wow presentation was awesome bun was placed separately and I can see the layer of cheese on a juicy beef patty, onion rings served with crispy fried and a portion of salad. Upper bun and Lower was loaded with Ricky Cheese Mayo Topped with a salad and cheese then beef patty was also topped with a cheese slice so I guess it is called Insanely Cheesy because of the two cheese slices. I placed onion rings on top of cheese slice and placed the bun on top so now it was looking like an actual burger. I was so overwhelmed by the service and presentation of the burger and I was ready for a wholesome gastronomic journey but but but first bite of the burger changes my mood and taste buds to 360 degree I felt like I was chewing a rock of salt literally it was salty. I only felt the taste of salt and spicy Mayo sauce which just ruined my experience the cheese slices were the only part I liked about this burger otherwise beef patty was tasteless and the overall taste was bland because sauce onion rings were just average. Sauce was really not adequate for this burger. Fries were crispy and crunchy oil free and felt light when paired with ketchup. Salad was average it was a combination of apple and potatoes it lacked amount of icing sugar. My overall experience with this burger was really bad I was expecting much more from this kind of restaurant. . I was not happy with the experience but then the magic unfold as I took sip of Cheese Cake Strawberry Smoothie cottage cheese melted in my mouth that was giving a tangy flavor of cheese cake combined with taste of delicious strawberries. It was like a desert cum smoothie for me and it was really very refreshing every ingredient was perfectly balanced. I am definitely going to try this deliciously creamy smoothie again.

Read moreI am a frequent visitor and usually love the food, the ambience and everything, but this time I tried a dish again after a very long while and sadly I was greatly disappointed. I ordered risotto yesterday and while the grilled chicken on the plate was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, the real disappointment was the so called “risotto.” What was served was a tightly packed mound of orange rice that was dry, spicy, and lacked the creamy, velvety texture that defines a true risotto. There was no richness from slow-cooked broth or the slight bite of properly cooked arborio rice, just dry, overcooked grains stuck together. This might pass as spiced rice, but calling it risotto is misleading to anyone familiar with the dish. It’s a shame, because the chicken had great potential to be part of a standout plate. Unfortunately, the “risotto,” which should have been the star, ended up bringing the whole dish down. If you're ordering this hoping for a comforting, creamy risotto experience skip it. It used to be a good dish years ago but I don't what changed, so might as well change the name of the dish too. The appetizer was delicious with perfectly balanced sauce on top of juicy tender chicken on sticks. Always love their fries as well. The burger was juicy and with optimum spice level. Bun was moist and fresh and patty was delicious. Overall, As I said I really like coming here and will continue to do so as they have great taste in their popular dishes but that risotto has made me cautious that not everything on menu is true to the name and might not be true to taste as well. I would highly suggest that either risotto name be dropped from menu or the dish should be made to live upto its name. Would recommend :cheesy chick on a stick, patty angus and bacon me crazy(my all time favourite). Would not recommend: Rise n...
Read moreMy recent visit to Meat The Cheese in Gulberg was an interesting experience. The name itself sets a high expectation for rich, indulgent, and cheesy dishes, and they certainly don't hold back on that front. The menu is a carnivore and cheese-lover's paradise, with a lot of options focused on beef and chicken paired with various types of cheese. The ambiance is cozy and modern, perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a family outing. The star of the show for me was undoubtedly the Rancheroniii Beef Burger. The meat was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and seasoned just right. When paired with the generous layer of melted cheese and sauce, it was a truly decadent and satisfying bite. It lived up to the promise in the restaurant's name. On the other hand, the Alfredo Pasta was a bit of a mixed bag. While the ingredients were fresh, the flavors didn't quite pop. It was a decent dish, but it lacked the wow factor that the beef item had. The sauce could have used a little more seasoning or a richer base to make it more memorable. A great side dish to try are the Old Fella Mozzarella. They were crispy, cheesy, and the perfect accompaniment to the main course. Overall, Meat The Cheese delivers on its promise of meaty, cheesy goodness, especially when it comes to their beef-centric dishes. While some items might not be for everyone, the must-try items are absolutely worth the visit. The quality of the meat and the focus on flavor make it a solid choice for anyone looking to indulge in some serious comfort...
