Rose Palace Hotel (Gulberg) — Restaurant in Lahore Cantonment Tehsil

I definitely give this hotel 0 stars. We (I'm writing on behalf of 2 other people as well) saw a number of problems that break safety violations and we had a number of problems when we received our room last week in Lahore

We saw a man dangling from his window when we arrived to the hotel. From my past experiences of hotels, that shouldn't even be happening.

As far as I'm aware of in Pakistan there should always be more than 1 security guard on duty at a hotel especially during the evening. When we arrived we only saw 1 security guard on duty and this was at 1 am.

When we entered our room, we were shocked about what we saw! Dirty bed sheets and a disgusting couch which had god knows what on it and pen marks a child must've made on it before. The bathroom was horrendous, i found a insect in the sink and the bathtub was about to collapse, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly.

There was 2 windows and were painted on but you can easily slide one of them and its a crawl space to the outside. Even from the outside you can easily slide it and come inside. And also the lights went out for a good 2-3 mins and anything could've happened during that time, someone could've came through the window. The light should NEVER go out in a hotel. Or in this case a really bad hotel.

And the list goes on and on.

This was my first night in Lahore and we were greeted by a horrible hotel.

We only stayed in the hotel for about 2 hours then we checked out then went...

So we found this place far below our expectations! Probably the only good thing is the behavior and friendliness of reception staff.

We booked the family room having 2 large beds for two nights with a breakfast buffet. Initially, we were placed in a room that had a huge impact of vibration due to the generator. It was so difficult to accommodate, especially when you arrived after traveling a 5-hour drive from Islamabad. Upon requesting, they moved us to a smoking room, which was even in awful condition. The bathroom was so smelly and dirty to the point that we thought it's better not to use it at all. Only one towel was provided, which was dirty as well. The room was not properly cleaned and had hairs present on the floor. The toilet amenities were in such a state that you should avoid them. Upon displacing the comforter, we discovered that bedsheets also had strain marks.

The AC tripped 3 4 times during the night and caused a lot of suffocating environment. We hardly managed to have proper sleep.

In the morning we complained at the front desk and the staff accommodated us once again and moved to a third room which was found a lot better in terms of cleanliness.

None of the rooms has a working refrigerator. The room service was not too bad and responsive as we availed it a few times.

The unexpected thing was that no water bottle was provided on the 2nd day at all.

On top of everything, the most terrible thing was the parking, which is too...

Rose Palace in Gulberg has truly set a benchmark for outstanding buffets in the city, offering an incredible dining experience at remarkably reasonable prices. Our company recently hosted a HiTea lunch buffet, priced at 2000 per person (including taxes), and it exceeded expectations in every aspect.

The food options were not just extensive but also of exceptional quality. Each dish was fresh, and timely refills ensured a consistently delightful dining experience. Among the standouts were the Dhaka Chicken from the BBQ station, the flavorful pasta, and the aromatic biryani.
