We have been visiting Sarhad Restaurant many times and overall, the food has always been great. Some of our favorites include their Shinwari Dumba Karahi, Shinwari Chicken Karahi, Kabuli Pulao, Tawa Chicken Piece, and the fresh Afghani Roti. The authentic flavors and generous portions have always made it a good experience for us. However, on our last visit, we were a bit disappointed with the Dumba Karahi. The meat was not properly cooked, turned out chewy, and the quality of the meat didn’t feel up to their usual standard. This was surprising since we’ve consistently enjoyed it before. Another downside is that they do not accept cards, which is quite inconvenient. The ambience is also not very good, and they really need to focus more on cleanliness. At times, it almost feels like a self-managed setup without proper attention to the dining environment. On top of that, the staff isn’t very friendly, and their attitude often feels like “it is what it is,” which takes away from the overall experience. Overall, Sarhad is still a place we like to dine at for its taste, but we hope they work on maintaining consistent food quality, improving cleanliness, enhancing the ambience, offering card payments, and training staff to be more welcoming and customer-focused.

I recently dined at Sarhad Restaurant, hoping for a special traditional experience, but was disappointed. The service was subpar; after placing our order, the waitstaff became scarce and unresponsive. The food was decent but not exceptional, failing to deliver the promised special flavors. While main dishes were reasonably priced, water, cold drinks, and raita were disproportionately expensive. Overall, Sarhad Restaurant did not meet my expectations for a memorable dining experience. If you're seeking something special, consider other options.

This is palace for good food but in crowd it doesn't pay proper focus on food quality and today I visited this place after dinner and ate Dumba Karahi which is so favourite of this place but today the cook didn't paid proper focus for taste . Anyhow I would recommend to those please come before time and advise to order taker to cook with honestly otherwise I would not like to recommend this place. This restaurant have good cultural and historical seating plan which attracts to Pakistanis as well as Chinese.

For any Carnivorous food adventurer the quest for ultimate meat grind between teeth can either be only found in three nations: 1. Pashtoons. 2. Turks. 3. Brazilians.... After stating these strong words I must confide with the the readers that this is purely my brothers and my own experience after visiting +44 Countries. The best meat experience in Pakistan is definitely either in Namak Mandi or in LandiKotal, both being in KPK, formerly known as NWFP. Now for somebody who can't travel to KPK that frequently and either resides in Lahore or is posted here, maybe even stuck here, can have the best if meat experience in SARHAD RESTAURANT. Us Karachiwala mixbreeds really love Lamb meat and Fat. We are very particular about certain tastes and their authenticity. SARHAD provided all. The Aurora and ambiance was very particular of a rough and tough PESHAWARI/KPK sitting GOLL KAMRAs. The Lamb was a WoW factor, the BBQ LUM aka Tail Fat was heavenly. The best part is they knew how to cook authentic KARHAIs and BBQs. A true Karhai is only cooked with Fat, Meat, and Salt. That's it!!! Nothing else!!! And they got it right the very first time without even explaining them how to do it. Usually Lahoris have no clue or Idea to make authentic Karhais-Here a lot of Spices, Greens, Tomato, Yoghurt, and Creams are added, which is quite nice in it's own way, but definitely is not a Karhai. Ask any Pashtoon, Baloch, or any other Central Asian. But then, Hey!!! Each area has it's own palatable tastes. For us, in Karhai, authenticity matters, and that authenticity was provided by SARHAD. Way to go SARHAD guys, keep it up. I'll be visiting ya'll again, INSHALLAH, very soon!!! LIVE LONG AND PROSPER WELL IN...
