Visiting certain places gives the notion that probably food vlogging is not all sacred. Driving down to this part of the city is never easy so a religious holiday gave a good excuse to come here as the traffic was barely there.
Reached here early around 9pm and ordered 500gm mince meat and 500gms of chops for 2 of us.
They took their sweet time but when its getting cooked fresh of the meat you selected then time is not considered an issue.
Lo and behold, the wait is finally over, freshly baked flat bread filled the air with its aroma. The look of the dish filled upto the brim with oil was not at all encouraging yet its a norm in this part of the city so I dived in with an open mind. The meat had that meaty odour which most of us do not associate with mutton, lamb yes but not with mutton. A couple of bites were difficult but as soon as the odour became the norm we started chewing in with more fervor. The beautiful looking bread was giving more taste and zest to our appetite.
TBH there is just nothing special about this place that we should go all the way down to that area for minced meat soaking wet in oil. The flavor and bite of it was lost with all the oily punch to it. Finished off with yogurt as to neutralise all.the oil in the tummy.
Finally the bill came and it was Rs. 6600 for 1kg of meat a few rotis and 2 yogurts, just not worth it.
By the time we were leaving it was almost full and I was surprised to see that we were the only ones having the so called famous QEEMA as all the locals around there were just having chicken karahis. They knew it wasn't worth it, I might try the chicken karahi next time only IF im...
Read moreLocation: Famous sheefa karahi located on Mcleod Road opposite Lahore hotel with UBL Bank. Review: Recent experience at Sheefa Karahi was marked by the delightful flavors of their renowned Tawa Qeema. The richness and taste of the dish were truly impressive and paired seamlessly with the irresistible freshness of their tandoori roti.
However, it's important to note a couple of aspects that influenced the overall rating. The primary concern was the extended waiting time, ranging from 45 to 60 minutes. This wait is attributed to the restaurant's commitment to preparing each order from scratch. While the anticipation added a certain level of eagerness, it might test the patience of those seeking a quicker dining experience.
Additionally, the ambiance played a role in the overall rating. The seating arrangements were average, with options either on the roadside or in a separate open area designated for families. This might not suit everyone's preferences, and it's worth considering when planning a visit.
In conclusion, despite the extended wait and average seating, the exceptional taste of the Tawa Qeema and the freshness of the tandoori roti contribute to a satisfying dining experience. Sheefa Karahi's commitment to culinary excellence earns it a solid four-star rating, making it a noteworthy destination for those craving authentic and...
Read morerecently had the worst experience at Sheefa, and I feel compelled to share it. We traveled over 100 kilometers from Sialkot with friends, expecting a special outing, but it turned into a complete disappointment.
We had called ahead to place our order, assuming it would save us time. However, the management at Sheefa was shockingly poor. One of our items arrived an hour late, beyond the promised time, and we were still waiting for the second item when we found out they had given it to someone else!
To make matters worse, our meal was incomplete, and we were told we’d have to wait an additional 45 minutes for the missing items. The staff didn’t seem to care at all, and no one was willing to listen to our complaints.
This experience has left me extremely disappointed. I will never visit Sheefa again and strongly advise others to avoid it as well. It’s not worth the time,...
