Absolutely appalling. I can predict with certainty that Four Points will be minus its Sheraton affiliation in the not too distant future. Perhaps one of the worst hotel experiences of all. Let me elaborate. Check-in equated to a 1-person queue with 5 receptionists standing around doing nothing. The receptionist that eventually served me was rude and angry, just because...and again alongside her colleague upon checkout whilst 3 other staff stood around... once again, doing nothing whatsoever. My duffle bag was then carried up by a gentleman in sneakers against my desires (as a 30 year old man I can competently carry my own bag), who then proceeded to hang around in my room in a grovelling fashion... evidently for a tip. The rooms electrics were a danger, and buzzed on and off, going as so far to darken the lamp when the latter was so much as touched. Upon increasing the air-con, a blast of putrid ammonia was released. The curtain bracket fell off of the wall. The wardrobe stank of urine. There was no mini bar menu or any room menu for that matter. The shower had no hot water even after a prolonged active state for two consecutive days at 6am! The bathroom gown had a brown stain, as did much of the furniture. A vacuum was parked outside my door for a few days which I almost tripped over. The elevator smelt of sweat and excrement on numerous occasions, and the breakfast was so dire, unsanitary and in expiry of its acceptable state that I was ill for 2/4 nights, and I am still recovering. The sausages were placed out cold upon being served in a "warmer" that was likewise cold. And the staff were still fumbling around whilst arguing amongst each other at breakfast 30 minutes into its intended opening... every single morning. The jacuzzi towel provided was torn, and its shower contained numerous empty shampoo vials. I called reception twice, one time I was not called back though promised, and the 2nd time I was hung-up on. The 4th floor common area has the air-con on so high you'd need a ski jacket to use it (intentional no doubt). Conclusion. This Hotel is dire. I saw the manager, and frankly, though he appeared like a kind man, that is exactly the problem when operating a hotel. The staff have no discipline, and should for the most part be swiftly rebuked and disposed of, and of course, management replaced. For the price paid you'd find a better 2* with a...
Read more** I had an absolutely horrendous experience at the Four Points Hotel in Lahore, Pakistan, which I feel compelled to share to ensure others don’t fall into the same trap, especially if you are a loyal Marriott member like myself. First, let me begin with the deceptive billing practices. The hotel charged my account without any prior notice or authorization. I had made a booking and confirmed all details with the hotel beforehand, but without any warning, they decided to charge my credit card well ahead of check-in. No one informed me of this charge, and when I asked for clarification, they were evasive and unapologetic. But the worst part came when I arrived at the hotel. Despite having a confirmed reservation, they claimed that they didn’t have a room available for me and tried to make excuses about other guests refusing to leave. After a long day of travel, this was the last thing I needed. No effort was made to accommodate me, and I was left stranded with no place to stay. The staff was completely unhelpful, and the management showed no regard for my situation. It was clear that, despite being a global member of Marriott and having stayed with them countless times for work events, my loyalty meant nothing here. I’ve never been treated with such disregard by a hotel under the Marriott brand, and this experience has completely soured my perception of Four Points. I will never choose this property again, and I strongly advise anyone looking for a reliable and honest place to stay to avoid this hotel. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment. There are far better hotels in Lahore that actually value their guests and treat them with respect. Stay away from Four Points, Lahore—you’re better...
Read moreThe location of the hotel is in the center of Lahore. I recently stayed in one of the hotel's expensive suites, priced at over Rs45k per night. While the room initially appeared well-maintained, with a clean washroom and no unpleasant odors. However, several issues arose once I settled in. The duvet and mattress were uncomfortable. However, the hotel provided an additional blanket upon request. The initial provision of only one water bottle and two tea bags was insufficient, but the staff did supply more when asked.
Unfortunately, the TV screens were of poor quality. Accessing amenities was also cumbersome, requiring me to search for them throughout the hotel. The room's phone extension had outdated dialing numbers that had not been updated.
The room's layout was unusual, with the working table facing the door, looking like a public reception desk. This made it uncomfortable to sit and work. The wardrobe was only accessible through the washroom, which was inconvenient.
Other issues included: A commode installed at an uncomfortable height for someone of my stature (5'10") A TV installed on room's on a side wall, making viewing difficult. The other TV in the sitting area was also not placed well as you can't watch TV while sitting on the working desk. A large, unnecessary glass panel facing the washroom. A small window with a direct view of the main road outside
Considering the high room rate, I did not find my stay to be value for money. While some guests may not mind these issues, I was disappointed by the hotel's failure to meet my...
