Just had Ba Fang Chinese. Will start with the pros. Fried rice was excellent, would have gone back for that. Cumin mutton was also ace, would order again. Ordered two dishes on recommendation: Stir fried beef with noodles was ok. The da pang chicken is where the problem began. We ordered it without looking at the menu, just said ok we'll take it if you reccomend it (to the manager)- this giant dish came to us enough for 10 people. We weren't asked if we want half or full though the guy spent five minutes explaining the dish- they served the full dish for 5 people though we had already ordered 5 other dishes. Also asked the manager if this order was OK for 5 people, to which he said yes. The chicken was EXTREMELY tough to the point not one of us could eat a single boti. I dunked it in the gravy and sauces in an effort to make it more chewable. Didn't happen. All 5 of us had the same experience. We complained about it but the server and manager said its supposed to be tough and that's just how its done? The server actually started off with 'tou ham kya karain?'. We asked them to please try it, make the chef try it. All blank stares. We demonstrated how we can't even break it with a spoon and fork and they just stared back. Came out and explicitly asked for it to be changed or replaced and if there was a manager we could speak to. Got no response. That whole encounter ruined our entire night, made us feel gross. Paid the whole amount, including the 3k this dish was for that was overcooked and not edible. Never going again.
EDIT: Thank you for your reply. We wish the manager and server had connected us to you when we requested. No we don't want the money back :). Changed the stars also because the other dishes were decent. Will give you another chance and come back for fried rice...
Read moreThe ambiance was good and the generally the place was good, but sadly their food is not up to the mark, they served us dumpling soup which was very basic and lacked flavour. We ordered fried dumplings which were deep fried and they said that they have only chicken dumpling yet they served us beef dumplings, nor were they an adequate size nor were in a shape that you would call a dumpling, the soy sauce was mixed with vinegar and the chilli oil had burnt chilies and flavour was missing in it as well. Additionally they were deep fried and not lightly fried. Coming to the main dishes we ordered noodles that seemed on the menu to hot and sour noodles yet they were served very cold and the spice level was near zero. The kungpao chicken was cold again and more on the sweeter side. Beef brisket again cold and not flavourful. The bread served with it was surprisingly soft. Overall it was not a good experience and after a busy day felt like a disappointment. They also didn’t have the heating on which made it more unpleasant. They don’t have the option of a card payment and are...
Read moreFood was not good. We ordered kung pao chicken, stir fried beef and stir fried beef noodles. Kung pao chicken had a very bad smell of raw chicken. Even though the quantity of meat was very low. (There were only 8 pieces in it of about 1 inch cube). The stir fried beef had some shaved beef which got thickness of a tissue paper. And lastly the stir fried beef noodles, there was no beef in it, only soup and noodles. Overall the food was really bad. The 5 star comments in google recommendations were misleading and very well paid from my observation. I saw two more families leaving their entire dinner and left because they also didn't seem to like it very much. It was a total waste of...
