Located in F7, Islamabad This is a steak place with pretty decent prices, I come here often. It gets super packed after 7 PM, lots of Pakistanis coming for dinner, you might need to queue.
The steak tastes average, and the doneness control is not great. I asked for medium-rare, but it felt more like medium-well. However, for a steak that costs under 70 RMB, you can't expect too much.
The usual sides are a serving of stir-fried veggies and some sort of potato product like mashed potatoes or fries. I asked the waiter to swap the mashed potatoes for another serving of stir-fried veggies.
The fish and chips were my first time trying here, the sides were quite generous, tasted alright. During the meal, the waiter came over asking how much longer I'd take, seemed like he was trying to rush me, probably because it was really busy.
Finally, about payments, there's a 5% tax on credit cards. But this time, they also asked for a 5% tip, and when I asked if it was mandatory, he actually said yes. That's the first time I've encountered this after coming here so many times, really bad experience.
In summary, it's a budget-friendly steak place. If you just want a simple meal, it's better to come outside the Pakistani dinner rush. And it's best to pay with cash, even if it means a bit more tax. In the end, the total comes out about the same as using a card but having...
Read moreIn no restaurant ever, have I been treated this rudely. So, me and my friend who have been seated near kitchen area had the audacity to look for another table because our throats were hurting due to spices smell. We hadn't even found another table yet and was just looking for a secluded table since my friend wears hijab. We turned back from a table which had RESERVED written on it and one of the staff member which was probably their manager started talking to us rudely as if we had broken out of jail. For a moment, i thought, may be this table was reserved for the Prime Minister. He said something strange like can't you see that table has reserved written on it. why are we here, why didn't you ask us and we were too baffled and ashamed to say anything. Was it really that big a deal?
In spur of moment, it didn't cross our mind to ask the waiter right away, we do it very easily in other restaurants but this is not how you insult your customers. Me and my friend were meeting after a long time and our mood was totally ruined. We should have left right away but we didn't want to create a scene as we didn't want to ruin mood of other people. Bad customer dealing. I bet the manager wouldn't have been this rude to another group of elite...
Read moreThe worst steak experience of my life. I ended up hospitalized for two days and remained unwell for weeks afterward.
What they serve is not REAL steak (i.e., a solid cut of beef sliced across the muscle fibers). Instead, they serve restructured or formed products made from ground or finely minced beef meat molded into a round, patty-like shape to imitate a steak.
To disguise the texture, they heavily coat it with sauce. An attempt to hide the lack of real meat fibers. Nowhere in the world is a proper steak drowned in sauce like that.
Within hours of eating it, I fell seriously ill due to what was likely contaminated meat, possibly infected with harmful bacteria or a virus. I had to be admitted to the hospital, and even after a month, I’m still dealing with the aftereffects.
I’m not new to steaks. I’ve had some of the finest cuts in places like Germany, Norway, and Texas. I know the difference between real beef steak and something artificially formed and masked with condiments.
Had I been in Pakistan longer, I would have filed an FIR against them. What they served was not just misleading — it was...
