I was always curious of Mindanos but never really had a chance to visit as people around me said its not so special or worth going. Then i recently I was scrolling through to see if there are any sunday brunch options and saw Mindanos had a revamp! I was really excited and wanted to give it a try.
So today I convinced my friend to go with me for. When we reached there I asked the staff for a table for two and he seated us saying he will check if "they can serve us". It was a bit odd to say but i thought nothing of it and after a while the waiter came back saying that since they have a brunch today, we could order that insted of from a regular menu. I laughed and said the brunch was why we were there and the waiter told us that we could then be seated anywhere we wanted since there werent alot of people there.
We were happy where we were seated and I got up to check what food looked appetising. I found some food i liked so was going to add some to my plate. Out of nowhere, this man comes and takes my plate from me and goes "brunch abhi shuru nahi hua, please betein".
I turned to see this man who had a long beard, wearing dull green shalwar kamees and glasses with a thick black frame. I said "mujhe laga brunch apka shuru hua hoga. Kab start hota hai?" To which he instead asks me "ap O2Globe ke taraf se hain?" "Nahi" im confused "Aaj actually O2Globe ne puri jaga book ki hai lekin since aap walk-in customers hain to aap bait sakte hain, khana lagne par apko bula leinge abhi time hai" he says.
I was honestly very embarrassed in front of my friend. First off, how do you tell someone they can sit for the buffet, then snatch their plate away and insted tell them that they werent really supposed to be there but now that they are, you have to wait. Him and I just decided we should go someplace else for a brunch and we got up. A waiter of theirs noticed and started following us asking "Sir ap please betain, kyun jaa rahe hain?" I just replied "Bus thank you, plan change hogaya"
Tbh im not even mad at the other waiters. They were very sweet and polite. This one bearded guy and the way he treated me will be the only reason I need now to stay away from Mindanos.
After I left I checked the post by Mindanos on their instagram and the timings mentioned there for Brunch was 10AM to 2PM. I was...

Like we waited so long for the pizza and mini burgers to come. So better to try other restaurants Hi tea don't just go to restaurant by watching their Instagram reels. The place was totally opposite to it, the hi tea is served on second floor the stairs were not clean, infront of the door the place was...
Read moreMindanos used to be my go-to place for a good meal- every visit felt like a treat, and the food was always spot on. Unfortunately, it seems like the management or staff has completely changed, and with it, the overall experience. I’m genuinely disappointed with how the quality and standards have dropped. Even the ambiance has lost its charm and no longer feels inviting after the revamp.
I went in wanting to try their Ribeye Steak, which I was really looking forward to, but the waiter informed me that it wasn’t available. Instead, he suggested the Mexican Steak. So, we decided to order:
• Mexican Beef Steak (5/10) • Mindanos Special Stuffed Chicken (5/10)
The Mexican steak was underwhelming. The serving size was much smaller than I expected, though I did like the Mexican sauce that came with it. The fries serving was also less than usual.
As for the stuffed chicken, it was disappointing. It was loaded with olives, which made the olive flavor completely overpower everything else. The sauce served with it was too salty—I had to send it back. While they were kind enough to replace it, the new sauce was still salty.
We also ordered their Karak Chaaye, which was another letdown. Although it was served in mugs, the tea was too thin and had a bitter taste. I had to send that back as well, but even after the adjustment, it didn’t improve much.
One thing I appreciated was that the waiter was very cooperative and attentive. They handled my complaints professionally and made the requested changes, which I truly appreciated.
I really hope Mindanos can get back to serving the amazing food and experience it was once known for. Until then, I don’t see myself returning...
