If you're a proper Harry Potter fan (i.e. someone who has read all the books and is not a "filthy casual" who has only watched the movies), this place is definitely worth a visit.

I have to say that I certainly loved how the whole place is set up, all the props available to cosplay as a Hogwarts student, and the overall ambience. Just entering the Smokey Cauldron shows you just how dedicated of a fan the owner is of the Harry Potter universe (or how thorough he has been in his research before decorating and opening the place): The washroom area being labeled as the Ministry of Magic and having a telephone booth as an entrance is certainly a nice touch.

First time visitors are strongly advised to try out the Butter Brew drink. I didn't get the chance to try out any of the food since I was in a hurry (damn you work life! Why does adulthood have to be so complicated?) but I personally feel that the place could definitely do with a slightly more enhanced menu as far as food items are concerned. I raised this point with the staff and they pointed out that the Smokey Cauldron has only had a soft launch so far and that they're currently working on enhancing the menu. Eagerly waiting to see how that turns out.

Also, Smokey Cauldron ppl, kindly improve the printing and finish quality of your menus. They currently look like something a student who's past his project deadline quickly printed out and stapled instead of having it properly spiral binded.

Having said that, I will definitely be visiting this place again. It's great to see such places opening up in Pakistan that allow fans to geek out and have some fun...

From the moment you step into this restaurant, you feel the vibe taking you into a Harry Potter themed place. Witch hats, brooms, sticks and what not. They've even got capes and windows of the similar theme. Tables, doors & pictures hanging on the walls compliment the theme.

The environment creates a spooky outlook, however it's very comfortable when you take a chair / sofa seat and absorb the vibe. Air-conditioning is good and so is the lightening setup.

Once you get seated you can formally request the staff to give your children the themed capes, hat, wands so they can take candid photos with them.

Another interesting thing about this restaurant is that you can get a pen and sticky note from the staff and write anything and stick the same anywhere in the restaurant, which I think is a very cool idea. There are hundreds and thousands of such colorful sticky notes all over the place.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome and the staff were very courteous. I had a few reservations about the menu, however 80% of what we ordered, was extremely nice and presentable in terms of food quality and quantity.

There's an open sitting place at the rooftop as well but it doesn't have any type of a Harry Potter theme. It's just plain sitting.

Payments via card and cash are both acceptable, however via card there's a benefit of less sales tax applied and they are charging similarly which is a plus.

Parking is somewhat difficult to find, especially on weekends.
