Read moreIt’s a nice place with a good ambiance and the show they put on with the plate on fire and smoke on the tables is enjoyable- but they must work on their food which lacked flavour and taste. Roast meats need marination or at the least a selection of condiments and sauces you can put on them. Garlic butter / bbq/ peppercorn/ hot & sweet sauces for example, lemon wedges, small pots of smoked paprika / pepper etc Give people various flavours to add as they wish.
All they had were very tiny little pots of a tasteless chilli & tomato / mint sauce (only one that was good) served with the hummus & salad starters (both good) which were taken away before the main even though I asked them not to. The mint sauce was the only one that was good but alas despite repeatedly asking they didn’t give it to us.
Out of the kebabs the red meat seekh kebab was the only tasty one, and the chicken stuffed pepper was excellent. The others were mediocre at best, plenty far better out there. Kebabs need major improvement, especially the tikka ones.
If they did what I’m recommending with the roasted meats alone this could become an awesome place with lines out the door. As it is it will be a one hit wonder we won’t return as the roasted meats which are the main thing here are just not tasty enough.
The staff are excellent and very helpful if a bit deaf, given we were spending a fortune it was rude that we never saw the manager once, and nobody was at the door as we left to ask if we were happy with the evening. Very bad.
The Kunafa was almost good, but they’re using the wrong cheese, mozzarella - which gives it a very weird...
