Arrogante Panamá — Restaurant in Bella Vista

This was our third visit to Arrogante, and once again, we left thoroughly impressed. Each experience here has been consistently excellent — from ambiance to service to food.

The dining rooms are tastefully decorated and well-lit, with crisp white tablecloths, plush upholstered booths, and chairs that soften ambient sound, creating a comfortable and refined atmosphere.

The service continues to be outstanding — a rarity in Panama these days. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm.

As with our previous visits, the food was spectacular. We began with the short rib arancini: crispy on the outside, cheesy and tender within, with richly flavored beef. I then had the pappardelle in a simple yet sublime pomodoro sauce — a dish I had been craving since our first visit. It did not disappoint.

My wife ordered the spaghetti carbonara, which was among the best I’ve ever tasted. The sauce was perfectly creamy, with just the right amount of crisp guanciale to give it depth and texture.

I also had the chicken cutlet Parmigiana — a standout. The cutlet was lightly breaded and fried to perfection, served without sauce so the crispness remained intact until the warm pomodoro and cheese were poured over at the table. Absolutely delicious.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit...

What on earth happened to this place? Arrogante used to be one of my go-to spots in Panama, but after this nightmare of an experience, I will never return.

We waited over an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and completely tasteless. As if that wasn't bad enough, the service was abysmal. The servers were uninterested and completely disregarded basic customer service, even after multiple reminders and complaints.

It's such a shame because Arrogante had potential, but it’s clear they’ve lost their way. Do yourself a favor and save your money for somewhere that actually cares about its customers. This place won’t last much longer...

Having been to Arrogante Panama multiple times, I recommend giving it a try. The ambiance is truly beautiful and creates a wonderful atmosphere. The service is typically good to very good, but not always, especially when it gets busy.

I always look forward to their drinks; they're expertly made and consistently delicious. And of course, the food is good but not particularly amazing or great.
