I recently stayed at this hotel for seven days. I also had a group of eight stand this hotel as well with me as I celebrated my 26th birthday. I love that this hotel is located within the financial district of Panama, which means that is close to everything that’s within the area. In terms of customer service this hotel made sure that their staff was well trained and excellent in this area. They make sure everything that we needed that we had and if we didn’t have what we needed they will make sure that it was there by the morning time when we went out the next day in the city. The attention to detail was phenomenal. They also welcomed us a glass of champagne on our welcome due to me celebrating my birthday at this specific hotel. ||||One of the Pleasant surprise was that they had a restaurant/bar downstairs in the hotel lobby, which you can go to from 6:30 AM until 10:30 PM which also offered room service up to your room if you wanted to have food later on in the night. The bar service and cleaning service was impeccable. I couldn’t have asked for a better staff to make sure that we were taken care of. Make sure that you always tip when people are taking good care of you, especially at this hotel it goes a long way.||||Now, onto a couple of things that I feel as though the hotel could’ve did better in, since this hotel is a five stars hotel I would expect for them to offer microwaves in each room in which they didn’t so whenever you order food, you have to go to the lobby and heat it up. This is was super inconvenient when it’s late at night, and you’re in your night clothes you don’t want to go to the lobby to heat up your leftovers. Also, there was a distinctive smell on the hotel floor and in the rooms whenever you get back from inside, this can be something that could be fixed, especially when you’re coming in from a long flight or torn the city you would expect a better smell. I recommend having air fresheners on each floor and in and in the rooms to get rid of whatever the-smells. ||||Despite these critiques, I would still go to this hotel all over again. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I have shared my experience on TikTok. The front desk works hard to make sure that we were taken care of one of the highlights with this hotel is the umbrella service, ordered because Panama rains 9 months of the year and you are allowed to borrow them and place them back upon returning to the hotel. Another highlight is my friend left her rare Stanley cup and the hotel knew she was apart of our party, and made sure we got it to give to her back in the U.S. Also, the hotel even keeps your bags locked up when checking out instead carrying it around the city until your flight you can leave it at the front desk and comeback to get it right before...

Read moreI cannot say enough good things about the Global Hotel Panama. Staff, bedrooms, conference/meeting room, breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner – it was all FANTASTIC. I organized a conference for 42 attendees and the hotel event coordinator Navil Suárez made the process of planning everything remotely stress free. We had to go back and forth because people kept dropping out or switching spots with others and then others wanted to tack on personal time at the conclusion of our conference. Navil and her team had it all covered. When an individual arrived at the hotel the receptionist confirmed the length of stay of their business travel and then confirmed the length of stay for their personal stay sorted payment on personal cards. I’ve coordinated several conferences and distinguishing payment for personal and business is often the biggest hassle I deal with so having a hotel sort this so smoothly and clearly was a real relief.
My teams also had several dietary requirements. We had vegans, vegetarians, individuals with gluten and shellfish allergies. All of this was expertly handled. The buffet breakfast and lunch were clearly labeled so anyone with dietary restrictions or allergies was able to navigate the buffets confidently and worry free. The food was also DELICIOUS. I did not receive any negative feedback from my teams regarding their meals, which is amazing as there are usually a handful of staff that always have some critique. Coffee breaks and lunches were prepared on time and hotel staff confirmed timing with me each day.
Additional comments:
· WiFi was strong and dependable – we held 5 virtual sessions with colleagues in the UK and the facetime calls did not drop or freeze once.
· The bedrooms were clean and spacious.
· The happy hour drink prices were a hit after we closed each day.
· Any and all last minute changes I had for Navil were sorted immediately – e.g., had to tack on additional small rooms for conference break out sessions at the last minute.
· My Spanish is terrible but Navil and many of her colleagues spoke perfect English so there was no language barrier when communicating and smoothing out logistics
· Hotel arranged for a driver to meet a VIP attendee inside the airport (outside of customs) with a sign. He was very grateful as he arrived late at night after a long day of travel so seeing someone waiting for him to whisk him away was ideal.
