Palacios Coffee — Restaurant in Arequipa

I just payed S12.80 (over 3 euro) for a “flat white” (as listed on the menu) and honestly am now full of self-loathing. Asking myself why I’ve fallen for the trap once again of believing that a coffee shop in Peru with a good rating will actually hand me a respectable drink. But S12.80 is taking the piss even by those terms. One can buy a very good flat white in Miraflores for 7 soles. How am I paying 12.80 for a cup of heated milk and espresso (picture below represents what this looked like after a couple of sips)? Please watch some tutorials on youtube or something because it’s honestly a joke to charge such a high price for such low quality. If you can’t texturise milk, take flat white off the menu. I’d rather at least be able to taste the coffee and top have a warm cup of watery milk...

Calificare a Palacios café con 4 estrellas... Pese a que es uno de los lugares más bonitos y acogedor que he visitado, se han demorado un poco en la atención, cosa que no debe influir mucho al momento de elegir un lugar para salir de nuestra rutina diaria y relajarse un poco, ya que, estando en estado de emergencia por el COVID 19 muchos locales se han visto en la necesidad de reducir personal. Pero bueno me enfocaremos en su carta... Como dije al comienzo, es un lugar bonito y acogedor, demás esta decir que es agradable visitar el local, cuando estuve en el local fue gracias a la invitación de un buen amigo, siven variedades que van desde cafés, shots, cervezas y uno que otros productos artesanales orgánicos elaborados con café, cacao y sus derivados que se aplican para el cuidado personal. Son cafés son buenazos, me encantó el expreso americano y el mocacino, mi amigo degusto un Pie de limón que según él estaba al punto, acompañado de un shot de tequila que se veía muy provocador. Cabe decir también que tienen variedades de sándwiches y pequeños que vale la pena probar en constantes visitas y en buena compañía. Espero visitar pronto Palacios Caffee y seguir probando sus deliciosas bebidas y degustar uno de sus sándwiches. Best coffee in Arequipa. Just allround perfect experience. Music nice and soft. Great staff with passion for their work. An incredible variety of coffee. Just a well rounded experience.
