This restaurant boasts a privileged location, offering an impressive view of the valley, mountains, and city at sunset. It is accessible both by walking from the city of Huaraz and by vehicle, ensuring a safe experience, although it is advisable to be cautious of stray dogs when leaving the city near the cemetery, as they can be aggressive.
Regarding the dining experience, unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations during my visit, which coincided with Mother's Day with my family and friends. The salads were past their prime, with an unpleasant taste, and refrigerated for several days, as the ingredients of the famous Pachamanca; undercooked meat, raw potatoes. etc Additionally, the trout was undercooked. I understand the expenses involved in transporting food to this location, as well as the variability in higher prices, but I believe the quality of the food did not measure up. Despite this experience, I trust that significant improvements may have been made for...
Read moreMy partner and I grabbed a taxi and rode about 45 minutes to check this place out, and it was totally worth it. The restaurant sits right on the edge of a big overlook, so you get this awesome view of the whole city of Huaraz. Super clean, fair prices, and honestly some of the best service we’ve had on our trip.
When we first sat down, they handed us binoculars to check out the mountains and the city—such a fun touch. Our server (wish we’d gotten his name—receipt #3958) was incredibly kind and really helpful. Since we’re from the U.S. and didn’t know what’s popular here, he gave us some great recommendations.
We tried the guinea pig, chicken wings, and lomo saltado—all of them were fantastic. Overall, just an amazing experience. Definitely recommend making the trip out here!

Read moreI love this place. The hike up is one of the best ways to get familiar with the city and help with acclimatization. The food is amazing. Their fries are on point. I love the chicken Cordon Bleu. Even just grabbing a beer and watching the clouds move across the mountains is fun. It's a great place to stop on the journey back from Puka Ventana. I also love thier chocolate cake and various juices. Great place....
