Restaurante "LA CASITA RUSTIKA" — Restaurant in Huaraz

The place is highly recommended but does not really deliver. I went there and they have me and other clients waiting for a while. The waiter was really nice and tried to be helpful all times, but the food just took way too long. Many other reviewers have given great reviews to this place, which is why I decided to go there. However, it might have been a matter or time but the food took too long, when it got there the meat was chewy and the deep fried potatoes tasted as made with old oil. Last but not least, the atmosphere is similar to most restaurants in Huaraz, but the loud music can be a bit overwhelming. Again, I maybe unlucky but I won't try my luck at that...

El ambiente es pequeño, las escaleras muy pequeñas y peligrosas ante cualquier desastre. Sobre el servicio muy malo, la señorita que atiende no toma nota y se le olvidan las órdenes, los platos demoran en promedio 20 o 30 minutos y no sirven en orden. La única vez que fui, trajeron el chilcano de trucha frío, le pedimos que lo calentara y no lo trajo hasta que le pedimos que lo traiga, casi después de una hora, además uno de los primeros pedidos fue un lomo saltado a lo pobre que lo trajeron cuando los demás platos estaban terminados, el huevo quemado y en general toda la comida nadando en aceite. El pollo a la parrilla en finas hierbas no tenía ninguna hierba solo un poco de chimichurri, las papas fritas feas y el plato que pedimos con papa sancochada nunca llegó. En general muy malo. No aceptan tarjetas (a pesar que tiene un letrero en caja donde dice VISA) solo...

The décor here is really nice. The service is good. But the food was bland. The cup of red wine we got tasted like alcoholic grape juice....
