"Don Cevichero" — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

I ordered the s/45 combo (roughly 12 USD) and instead they gave me a more expensive one that I did not ask for. They did change it, but having to explain to the staff that I in fact, had asked for something different when they didn't want to accept their mistake was a bit distressing.

Not only that but there were pigeons inside the establishment, a child tried scaring them away and failed in the process, which led to pigeons flying overhead of all the people inside the restaurant. Also the people who I assume were part-timers working at the place were extremely loud and were watching videos on their phones at full volume. We were in the market hoping to find somewhere good to eat ceviche, but the market was closing up! We chatted to a local man who obviously had good taste, he sent us here! We had been eating all of our meals in much more up market Barranco so weren’t sure what to expect - the food was so unbelievably tasty, the portions were huge, the staff were really friendly, although they didn’t speak English we had a laugh and connected. All round wonderful experience....

Hidden gem! The ceviche is one of the best in town and the service is impressive. The owner makes sure all tables are taken care of and will serve them himself.
