This was my first time in Peru and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgable about the surrounding area and can give great recommendations. The location couldn't be better. Very close to many attractions and within walking distance to almost everything you need, including a grocery store to buy water! There are literally 10 or more restaurants on the same block as the hotel. You can book tours in the lobby of the hotel, which is convenient.

Why 3 stars? Well, when we booked online the stay was supposed to be approx. $1100 CAD. The bank called us to say that they wanted to make sure we were travelling to Peru and that this wasn't a fraudulent charge, and told us that the charge will go through after confirming. When we got to the hotel, the charge never went through and we had to pay a 10% extra for a "service fee". I believe that most hotels charge a service fee in Peru, but it just seems odd that had the online booking worked, there wouldn't have been one. Also, there is no bathroom fan. This might seem silly to complain about, but when you take a hot shower the entire room is incredibly humid. Maybe it's the North American in me, but it seemed very odd to have no bathroom fan. The hotel has sound proof windows, but the interior of the hotel is not sound proof. There is a club attached to the hotel (I don't recommend going) and you can hear the music going all night. You can hear your neighbour sneeze through the walls. The lobby is an atrium and the hallways to the rooms look down on the lobby, so when its busy downstairs you hear...

I just had the pleasure of visiting Lima with my 92year old mom, so that we could celebrate her birthday with family and friends. The hotel is in perfect location, the rooms are clean, the breakfast had great choices!! The fresh orange juice was amazing. The quality of the service from the hotel personnel was just amazing! The persons that cleaned our room for 8 days, all the porters, doormen, reception desk, I thank you all for making such a special stay for my mom and I. The colors of the hotel were a bit dark and old but it did not take away at all from how special the people that work there are. We felt respected, cared for, and attended in every way. That street used to be very quiet full of quaint little stores, now it is full of pubs and clubs for the younger crowd with music until 6am. Although we could hear the music every night, it really did not bothered us that much. I would stay there in a bit for its service and location. Thank you to everyone at the Faraona...

Asked to fix the hair dryer twice but never done, My flight was at mid night and per tripmasters way to make it just 2 nights, I request to check out in the morning to void that days cost because I was not goind to spend that night due to my flight but denied and charged for the night without staying. Tried to talk to the manager but he was busy than the president and never gave us tome to listen. Langauge was the big issue there. front desk has no english speaking peorson at all. No idea whether Mr. Paul is the manager or someone else but when talking about staing 2 nights not 3 but he ignore and just say no no no for any thing you try to say, wont lister but just turn his head to no.If you dont speak local langauge, and want to be in as it is condition (no demand to fix )dont go to this hotel. Ofcourse It looks very nice but the manager? (Paul) is the most erogant person who does not have customer value and dont want to listin (resion)but...

This hotel is central to everything, clean, and the staff is very friendly. It is on the older side and the lighting in our room was fluorescent which wasn’t so pleasant. The parking is secure and the garage is neat but it is no easy task getting in and out, very tight. Nice breakfast very simple, and 2 elevators that are modern. Did not try the restaurant. It’s very easy to walk around the city from its location and the staff are very helpful. The reason for 4-stars: the shower. It will be difficult to get the temperature regulated. Then while showering it will randomly at times become absolutely scolding hot, it’s dangerous and happened to all 3 of us more than once. the shower is quite small with no bathroom ventilation so it overheats quickly and you cannot move out from the hot water without shutting down the shower when it randomly changes temperatures. I would stay again but be cautious in the shower.

Fantastic hotel. Location is perfect - 5 minutes walk to Kennedy park, 7 minutes walk to main tourist markets, 20 minutes walk to larcomar. Air-conditioning worked perfect. We had dinner once at restaurant and it was very good. Staff is absolutely fantastic. So helpful. Breakfast is really good. Fresh squeezed juice is there everyday. We would definitely return if in Lima. And pisco sour 2 for 25 soles was the best I tried in Peru. Truly.

Amazing location nestled on the middle of the city with good restaurants and bars nearby. The drive to and fro is also advantageous. There are occasionally amazing rebates on the rooms which make it extremely affordable for its reported standing. The breakfast is a simple affair, with payable extras. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and the airport transfer is a useful option to ask of them
