Lucca fresh pasta — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

Good fresh pasta, rubbish slow service…

In a city famous for it’s cuisine.. I’d suggest go somewhere else… and here’s why…

The food was great, don’t get me wrong. But it had the vibe that no one knew what was going on in the open kitchen and that it was being ran by teenagers. After 35 minutes I noticed that the family of 4 English people who had arrived and ordered before us had not received their food, then the waitress informed me they don’t have the fresh tagliatelle I had ordered… almost 40 mins after we had placed the order they were yet to start making our food with only a family of 4 in the restaurant. My girlfriend and I waited an hour and 7 minutes for our 2 simple pasta dishes to arrive, which I admit were fresh and tasted good, however there was only 6 people in the restaurant, there was 8 people but too left when they overheard how long the food was taking. It would have been nice if maybe after the first 45 minutes someone at least offered us a drink or something in the way of apology. Oh and after everything the waitress asked for a tip… pretty cheeky of her… all in all given the amazing food available in this city, I would...

Wouldn’t recommend this place. Food is OK, service is absolutely horrible. We arrived, said we were “listamos para pedir” and idk what this girl was doing… just standing at the bar talking. We ordered and only 15 minutes later did we learn that dish wasn’t available and they only had sorrentinos… food was good. I thought the mushrooms in my pasta dish were a little raw but hey maybe that’s how they intended it. Also my husband is very sensitive to smoke and the kitchen isn’t ventilated well so the restaurant fills with smoke...

An intimate and casual Italian restaurant with a Peruvian slant. We (party of 4) ordered and split 4 dishes. 3 different pasta dishes and a pizza. The Lucca cannelloni was remarkable. The osobucco pappardelle (image) was well prepared and nicely presented. The pizza was beautifully made thin with a perfect crunch to the fresh crust. Finally the lasagna rounded it all out.
