Sofá Café Barranco — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

Service is 5*. I had the most attentive waiter. The service was fast, he sat me in a nice area, came to take the order quickly, brought the food out quickly and it didn't take too long to get his attention because I needed a spoon.

I ordered the waffle and a latte. The waffle was 4. The best ones I've had in a while though. They are Belgian style. They come with maple syrup or honey. The part that was underwhelming was the ice cream. It was already melting! How is that possible? Unless it has been out there for a while, I just don't see how it can be already melting. Anyways! A very friendly place. Comfortable seating for either coffee or a meal. Large windows, interesting murals. The menu is available in Spanish and English. We had breakfast. The American waffle breakfast had great bacon and ham and waffles but should have been served a bit hotter. I also order toast with jam. The coffee was large and strong but good and not bitter. My wife had avocado and poached eggs on toast. She doesn’t like runny eggs so we ordered them hard boiled and they came as requested. The waiter was friendly and was able to help in English which will be comfortable for some customers...

The place is nice and kind of cozy. They have table service and staff is good.

The food is good, but not the best in town though. I enjoyed the coffee. It's big.

I felt it was a bit overpriced compares to fancier places in Miraflores or San Isidro. Coffee itself is about 40% more expensive than in other already "expensive" cafes.

Good thing is they have parking space outside but you have to be lucky to get a spot during the week. Weekend breakfasts are nice because the place is not crowded.
