New experience for Reiwa. This is their second restaurant, the other one is Reiwa Izakaya in Aviación, more of an eatery. Reiwa Yakitori has hot dishes and yakitori grilled skewers as their prime concept. The yakitori skewer selection is greatly varied, though a bit pricey for the portions. Where it really shone for me was in their lunch deals, those are equally as good as the ones they offer in Reiwa Izakaya, except there's no sushi in the menu. The food is tasty, more traditionally inclined than other Nikkei restaurants in Lima. A similar option could be Kinjo Ramen some blocks away from Reiwa Yakitori, though as their name implies, they focus more on the ramen. It's a nice place to sit and have a couple beers while sharing yakitori skewers with friends or colleagues after work. Hope to go back and review their skewer selection in depth. Must try: lunch menu Karaage option and Gyudon. UPDATE: They now serve both cold and hot dishes, Sashimi Teishoku is a favorite of mine.

Checked out this spot last night with my partner and a friend. It's a bit of a mixed bag. The food was good - I went with nigiri while my partner got the karaage. The karaage portion was actually pretty generous, but the nigiri pieces were on the small side for what they charge. Not the best value overall. Service was quick enough and they can take your order in English, but heads up: there's a language barrier if you need to ask about ingredients (might be tricky if you have dietary restrictions). The space itself is ok, though it was pretty warm inside. There's also a pretty strong fried food smell when you first walk in, which might bug some people. Would I go back? Maybe, but probably not my first choice given the price-to-portion situation.

Cute little place, I liked the decor, bathroom was clean, with toilet seat cover! Now for the food,, the roll was good, but I thought the shrimp tempura was over fried. The Nikkei ceviche was excellent! The fav of the 3 things that we ordered. The goyza was tasty but so very oily. They are pan fried, I get that, but why so much oil ? The plate on which it was served had oil all over it from the goyza. I couldn’t finish the goyza, so got it back in a takeout box, that too has so much oil from the goyza. Would I come back? Yes! I want to give them another chance and try the ramen and a few other things in the menu. Service was friendly.
