This is a lovely hotel set in two old colonial houses with beautiful gardens. The staff are very friendly, kind and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. |Our room was well equipped with dressing gowns and slippers and they provide filtered water. There is additional filtered water and tea and coffee in the residents’ lounge area. |Breakfast is served on the roof terrace and is a combination of buffet items and a choice of cooked items from a menu. The pancakes with maple syrup and fresh fruit were my favourite breakfast item from a month of hotel stays in Peru. They also made proper decaf coffee.|Location wise the hotel is a two minute walk to the centre of Barranco which feels very safe and has some very nice restaurants and coffee shops. You can also walk to Miraflores in about 20 minutes. It’s a pleasant walk through a residential and commercial area. We also took an Uber into central Lima for a very cheap price which took about half an hour.|I highly recommend this hotel and would 100%...
Read moreAbsolutely loved this small luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the Barranco district, yet it was also quiet and peaceful as it is located on a minor street. My friend and I shared a junior suite located on the ground floor (thankfully, no noise from up above) - it was spacious and welcoming with a huge bathroom, good A/C, very comfortable bed and soft linens. The breakfast was delightful - served on one of the two roof terraces - a nice selection without it being overwhelming on choices. The rooftop bar, which is located on the other "rooftop", is fantastic, and a special thank you and shout-out goes to Julio, who served us each night we were in residence (he makes the absolute best Pisco sours) and even walked us through the (delightful) Pisco tasting! The staff is wonderful - friendly but also professional - we felt well taken care of while we stayed at Villa Barranco. Would come here again in...
Read moreAfter 2 months of travel in South America, there could not have been a better choice than this hotel, to finish off with!||The whole hotel has a very exclusive feel including the communal areas and our lovely, well finished, room with private terrace. There was a (smallish) safe in the room and a high-end shower room. The hotel includes pleasant small gardens with flowers and shrubs and a roof terrace where breakfast is served. Breakfast was very good quality, with fruit, freshly prepared eggs, nice bread, coffee and much more. Plenty of choice without going over-the-top.||Staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs.||There is no sign outside, so it took us a while to realise we were in the right place.||The location is excellent - close to the waterfront and just a short walk to the bars and restaurants of lively Barranco.||An absolutely...
