Me, my partner and a friend went to eat there 1/2/24. The service was friendly, not that much wait and the food was tasty but not at all good for the price (i have eaten way better for less). My bad experience came when my friend saw that our lovely server had been making fun and laughing at us throughout the whole experience, making faces and gestures (We are gay). Naturally i was furious but since i hadn’t seen anything (my friend did) and my partner asked me not to make a scene, i didn’t. So thats it for the service, but then exactly when we were going out of the restaurant i see a giant cockroach walking right above us on the ceiling, which i pointed out to one of the servers to make sure they got rid of it (maybe it was a one time thing), but then coming out of the restaurant i see a second huge one in the little lobby/seating area just walking on the ground. I was disgusted both by that and the service. I came out of there almost vomiting my “not good for the price food”. 1/10 would never...
Read moreA nice sushi restaurant in Mancora with good cocktails and food. We had a great meal until the bill arrived where we had some confusion with the waiter. We had asked about the 3x2 promotion on makis which he informed us was for all classic makis, so we ordered x3 half classic makis for this reason. When the bill came they had charged us for all x3 and said the promotion only applied to FULL classic makis (which we had not been told when we asked about the offer and ordered our meal). We questioned this and were told 'you didn't ask'. Eventually the waiter honoured the promotion but kept shaking his head and saying 'incredible' before storming off. The restaurant and staff need to advertise and explain the promotion better, as we felt this was dishonest and we were made to feel rude and awkward which ruined...
Read moreThey provide some decent food alternatives to the usual peruvian food, although it is not very close to the original (had pad thai, with none of the features that make it thai: no dried prawns, no peanuts, no sprouts, no lime etc.). Was tasty nevertheless, but more of a curry. I ordered sth else anyways, but w/e. Menu is a mess, that is too big and hard to keep an overview. But what does all the previous matter, if you hug the toilet after dinner at them and enjoy your meal a 2nd time? I assume the tofu was the problem. Usually my stomach is a beast. Never had a problem with the cheapest, pre cooked local meals in my life. TAO was one of the most expensive meals of this trip and they got me. Please review your produce handling to not ruin more peoples' vacations. It had to cancel my next...
